it’s true that it comes in waves. you’re fine for days or months at a time, and suddenly you’re drowning. no warning at all and the tide is crashing over you and you can’t breathe. your brain fights with itself over what could or should be done, anything to save yourself. you’re floundering because there’s nothing you can do. frantically looking for something to hold onto. there’s nothing. one minute you’re floating along, strong and in control, the next you’ve been pulled so deep under water that you don’t know how you’ll ever make it back to the surface.

And all of a sudden I feel so bad. So sad.
