“Hmmmm.” Bendy smirked, eyeing his love with a hand on his chin. “Well, since I have to choose, I’d say Satanic Snugglebug fits me better.” 

“Demons absorb the soul into their very being, thus increasing their power and strength.”

“Tch. No. Even if I did, why would I care? Free soul for me.” Bendy shrugged. “I have more control over my powers than I think you think. It’s mostly just things like...instinct taking over, or bringing shit to life...” Don’t think about Snowy, don’t think about Snowy, don’t think about Snowy!

“It’s not a trait that’s handed down from the parents, the sin isn’t something that’s passed down genetically from parent to child. It just is. Although, some traits of the parents tend to show up, but it’s determined by the individual personality traits of the demon, and which one is the strongest.

“Nothing. Unfortunately. I just left Hell is all. They still live down there, gathering souls, gaining strength, whatever they want. I chose to be the center of attention.”

Bendy frowned at that. “Wrath.” He wasn’t going to beat around the bush with this one. “He was a demon of wrath. Everything sent him flyin’ off the handle. Weakness, love, charity...” Bendy grabbed his right wrist and began to rub his thumb around it, as if it was cramped or sore. “You can imagine why I don’t wanna learn from him.”

“Ehh...” Bendy shrugged. “I don’t do the whole ‘soul stealing’ thing honestly. Not too good at it. Why go through all that trouble when you can just trick someone into getting one for you via sacrificial ritual?”

“And a clock, and a charm, and a keychain, and a watch, and a pillow, and a poster, and a-- what? I’m a demon of pride, whaddya expect? And a pin, and a hat...” 

“Tooo? Date? Steal Souls? Trick? Pester? Ya gotta be more specific pal!” Bendy smirked. “I mean, I don’t discriminate, I give every soul a chance to be stolen. Strong soul, weak soul, old soul, young soul, dumb soul, smart soul-- those are pretty hard to get your hands on though...”

Bendy growled at the other. If he could, he’d slash that stupid grey face right off and take his soul out of spite...but that wasn’t the rules of the spell. “It ain’t what she did to me...it’s what she didn’t do. She was a demon of greed. She kept everything to herself. Demons are supposed to learn from the parents. I couldn’t learn from my dad, so that only left my mom.” He looked away, trying not to cry. “She hardly taught me anything, and the times that she did do something, she made me do her bidding, and kept the souls for herself...I never knew the full extent of my power...”

“Coca-cola and Bacon...er...well at least it was coca-cola, until they removed the best part of in in 1903.” Bendy huffed in annoyance.

“By which standards?” Bendy smirked, pretending this wasn’t killing him. “Fall in love.” He frowned.

“I’m gonna be the star! The center of attention!!”
