As any other day in Gardenview, everything was calm in the lobby. The sound of chitter chatter natural in such a place, along with the three elevators closing and opening for more access, bringing the toons down into the more dangerous areas, infested with twisteds.
What was normal was soon interrupted, though, as for this time, an elevator brought someone up, instead of down. Most toons had taken the noise as a simple reminder that the tool was ready to use again, yet, there was a presence that exited it, their footsteps heavy with fatigue.
The toons stared at the one who'd exited the elevator in shock, such presence unexpected. They whispered among eachother, trying to understand if what was before them was real or not.
The toon in question only kept stepping forwards, ignoring those whispering all around them. They slumped forwards slightly, wearing a life jacket which looked ruined, and holding an axe, their whole body covered in what seemed to be human blood.
There, some toons finally recognized who it was. An old friend, assumed dead due to being missing for more than four months. Finn. What happened to him? He looked disfigured, a whole chunk of his face gone. Shattered, and oozing the same crimson liquid splattered on his body. His demeanor was uncomfortably different as well. What used to be cheerful and energetic became exhausted, with a tinge of something more... deranged, underneath it all.
