If anyone in a bubble is wondering how bad AI reliance is getting, my father literally does not listen to anyone except Claud anymore. We will give him advice but he needs to consult with Claud and see what it says before believing us. He recently had a surgery and cross-checked the surgeon's advice with Claud before applying it and even then he barely applied it. Up until like two months ago he didn't believe my degree (English) would be worth anything or be useful in any field even though I've been telling him the fields it's useful for and what I want to do with it. He eventually DID believe me...but only after Claud gave him a fucking list of industries and information which echoed everything I had already been telling him for years. And then he had the gall to send me his entire conversation with Claud in an email like I didn't already know all of that information already and had been telling him about it. He didn't even know this application existed two years ago and now he can't even get through a meal without asking it for basic information. If Claud could tie his shoes he'd want it to lace them up to his ankles and then ask how to get up when he tripped
