it’s the uncertainty that kills you

not knowing why you truly feel how you feel

you think you know but it doesn’t add up

then you realize it may have been trauma that creeped up

it had you acting in ways you never wanted

feeling like a person you can no longer recognize

all these words come out but it’s not really you saying them

it’s like you’re trapped in your head and someone else is in control

cruise control

but i thought this was me?

who am i?

i’m hurt inside and only trying to be heard

when your emotions get dismissed you’re whole life it’s hard to even know what they are

and in that moment

the moment where you feeling like you need to escape from what’s hurting you

because you can’t understand your own mind you just know your sad

you wanna run away and be alone because that’s all you deserve

i mean you say this.. but is it true?

what you really need is a hug

someone to hold you and remind you that you’re safe
