#take every main char…now multiple their bad traits by 5 #also I’m jealous of Jurassic Park bc they got a novelization of the movie and all we got for Twister was the original screenplay #I wanted a novelization too 😩#I’m jealous 💔#Bill was ALL OVER THE PLACE when it came to morals and values and being a decent person #like some of his actions and feelings def felt justiied but there’s other moments that stayed in WAY later drafts that were a huge yikes #Jo was…a fucking mess honestly WOW love u girl but she took the gaslight part of gaslight gatekeep girlboss WAAAY too serious #she was straight up just MEAN. MEAN AND FUCKING NASTY. AND I LOVE A MEAN AND NASTY WOMAN BUT LIKE NOT MY JO HARDING #Jonas was WORSE and older and grosser we should thank our lucky stars for Cary Elwes #Melissa was still pretty pitiful but not in the 🥺 way more like the 😬 way #Jo’s crew was pretty much nonexistent in the screenplay I mean they were There but they were just…there #fun fact: Michael Chrichton wrote the original screenplay for Twister in conjunction with his then-wife Anne-Marie Martin #it’s definitely interesting to see how things changed and developed from the original screenplay to what we got #some edits were made by Michael Crichton and then there were portions that underwent re-writes and those were majority done by Joss Whedon #it really does take a village in every department of film and television #god I love this movie #casting on fucking point too because this is one of those films I physically cannot imagine another actor in any of the roles #they all just fit so perfect AUGH!!!!!#*I’m biased because I love Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt SO MUCH oh my god #anyway I’m so normal about this movie I swear

Always thought that she had this sort of floaty, distant appearance, like she is in her own world a bit. Maybe that is a conscious decision by the actress, since it kinda adds to her inhumanity, like Mae has become detached from reality by being detached from humanity, society and our experiences of reality (since her senses like sight and hearing are changed, it changes her perception of reality). Idk I just think she’s neat:D
