Baal the Poet

She giggled, padding over to slip her arms around his waist, nuzzling into the crook of Baal’s neck. The last time he’d stayed over, it seemed the only time they weren’t connected at the hips was when they were sleeping. Luna had spent the week after treading gingerly, filled with a delicious ache.

“Why don’t you mull it over some more while I go change out of these painting clothes,” A kiss was pressed to the corner of Baal’s mouth, and Luna padded towards her bedroom; a devious plan in mind.

The drifter had been notorious for snooping whenever he felt he could get away with it, especially through her numerous draws of lingerie and the large chest at the end of her bed that contained her more ‘adult’ toys. It became apparent to the young woman that her lover had quite the taste for a few of her costumes- his favorites being the slutty school girl and the slutty nurses outfit. 

Luna dressed quickly, smiling at herself as she spun around; red tartan skirt, button up shirt knotted in the front, garter and stockings paired with Baal’s favorite pair of silky panties. It was almost too good, but that didn’t stop her from braiding her long hair into pigtails, completing the look.

"Oh..." he said simply lost for words at the site of her in that costume he'd dug out of her things so many times just to wank to the thought of her in it before sneaking it into her wardrobe in the hopes she'd get the picture and wear it for him eventually. It seemed she'd finally given in to the idea or at least was willing to offer him a treat.

Luna giggled, accepting the strawberry she had been offered gently, a wicked gleam in her eyes as she looked at Baal. Her tongue peeked out from between her lips, catching the stray trail of juice that had leaked from the corner of her mouth. Notorious for being as un-sensual as ever, it seemed that this morning would be no different.

“You think I could persuade you to give me a rub down?” She quirked a brow at her lover, fighting the urge to smile or laugh again. “I could put on something nice and sexy for you if you need encouragement,” Luna was still teasing, playing the game like they always did whenever they were together. 

It was one of her favorites after a rough night out, and cooking had always appealed to something within Luna. It soothed her in a strange way, much like painting did. 

Baal had been sleeping for hours now, having eaten his fill and had his bath. She popped in periodically to check in on him, if only to make sure he didn’t have alcohol poisoning, or accidentally pull the makeshift stitches she’d placed to keep the cut above his eye shut. By now the sun had risen fully, and after some food and a small nap of her own, Luna was painting; happily situated by the windows.

The older man merely laughed at her question, shaking his head as he continued to let her tend to him. Luna was far from a doctor, but had picked up the basics over the years; starting to get rather good with a suture needle, thanks to all the practice she’d gotten from her younger, dumber years. 

He got out of his grimy clothes and into the warm, bubbly, scented bath once Luna had drawn it for him. He got in and sunk into the steam and heat with a low groan.

She tormented him, knowing fully well that he was grateful she let him in like this- especially after the nasty fight they’d had all those months ago. Baal would never admit it, but he never needed to. Luna knew he appreciated such kind treatment, knew that somewhere beneath his abrasive exterior there was someone aching for such softness. He wouldn’t keep coming back if she was wrong.

Luna wrapped him up in a fluffy robe after the shower and sat him down to eat. He couldn't get much down but would probably be hungier when he woke up, so she put the left overs in the fridge for later for him before dressing him in some comfy PJs and sending him to bed. He was out like a rock within minutes, only to awaken in the afternoon.

After a long night of Baal’s usually debauchery, instead of retreating to his attic home, he had made it to the apartment door of a frequent lover early in the morning. A young woman who he wasn’t sure how she put up with him, who was reasonably well adjusted compared to him. He was a bad person with bad habits yet for some reason she continued to treat him so fairly and even took care of him when he needed it most, despite his self destructive behaviour.

He drunkenly banged at her apartment door and leaned against it heavily. “Lunaaaaa…” he groaned, “Let me in…” he pleaded. He was sporting a black eye and a cut lip, having gotten into a fight last night. He hadn’t gone home at all and didn’t want to be alone. If he’d found some bird to spend the night with perhaps he wouldn’t have come crawling to her.

The sun had just begun to peak through the windows when a loud banging came from her door; an equally loud and slurred voice accompanying. It was Baal, no doubt drunkenly stumbling to hers for a bit of TLC before he took his leave again. “Hush up, I’m coming!” 

Truth be told, Luna had no idea why she fancied Baal so much. He was loud, unclean, violent, rude, and all around just not the type of person she would have ever expected to associate with. Perhaps she felt she could fix him, or maybe she saw something a bit softer inside him- hell, maybe she just enjoyed having some company from time to time, no matter who the person was.

❛ did you really eat all the candy? that was for the trick or treaters. ❜

❛ are you sure this place is abandoned? ❜

❛ we really shouldn’t be here. ❜

❛ why is everyone in horror movies stupid? ❜

❛ do not go in there, you’re going to get murdered! ❜

❛ i’m no expert, but usually there’s signs saying ‘do not enter’ for a good reason. ❜
