BATMAN/AVATAR AU - Which element would the bats have?
Bruce: Wind. Wind is known to be adaptable to any element and has little weaknesses. People with wind elements are known to be quite smart but also appear emotionally dettached, which is on brand with Bruce. Wind barers are also known to be free spirited and values their own independence. Bruce is like a hurricane, he creates a wall swirling around him and goes around on the streets as batman but when back to himself he's a cold breeze. However, he can also be like an iceblock on a sunny day, keeps you calm and at ease despite the burn of the sun.
Alfred: Earth. Known to be reliable and nurturing which, again, fits just right with this character. People with this element is also known to value harmony and routine which is perfect for Alfred. You have to be headstrong if you were to live in a mansion that big with so many memories of the dead without ever going crazy.
Dick: Water. Known to be patient and observant. Honestly Dick is able to pick up the moods and intentions of others which makes water such a perfect fit for him considering its known to feel and heal. Water can also be violent when pushed too much, it can overflow and flood, which can describe Dicks habits of self blame and lash outs to a T. Hes like clouds, soft looking and innocent but can produce lightning when angered.
Barbara: Earth. Shes the man in the chair, the one that they call when needing backup or the plans in on a case. Earth is unwavering and logical. Babs is always hardworking and dependable, but stubborn. She may be good at taking care of others but tends to overthink and resist change. Ending up in a wheelchair was the biggest change she could ever have, but her stubborness and strong will kept her from giving up on being a vigilante, and she continued helping the team.
Jason: Fire. Predictable but for reason. Jason is known as the most emotional of all the bats, fire is loud and bright. It's also feared. Fire like Jason can be out of control if let spread, but if maintained can be warm and provide you with cooked food or tea. Jason is similar in that hes fierce on the outside but when treated right can be quiet and comforting. Hes like a candle, you leave burning for too long and he'll go out smoking.
Tim: Air. It fits his intellectual and curious personality. If I were to describe him, I'd say he's the air you grasp at when drowning. The type where you don't realize how much you need it till it's gone. He's a quiet- the type of wind that only shows itself when needed. He flows through life with a relentless passion, someone who clears the air by exposing truths.
Cassandra: Wind. Cass is one of the strongest among the bats, and this is for reason. Shes similar to Bruce in her adaptability and intelligence. Shes quiet but when faced against is like a storm. Her moves are sharp but can also be soft. Wind is free and peaceful. She hates killing as much as bruce and despises having your choice be taken away. She struggles with speech but is able to read people to a frightning degree. Like air, she doesnt need to be seen to understand or aid others. Her presence is silent but always there and strong.
Stephanie: Fire. Not stereotyping those who came from crime alley, but Steph and Jason are similar in a lot of ways. It only makes sense that they both have a fire in them and wish to be seen. Stephanie is passionate about what she does, shes loud and cheerful but has a temper that can burn. Fire is bold and draws people in with its warmth. Shes a torch that goes around searching, her excitment and ethusiasm is what makes people come to her.
Duke: Fire. Again, not because of crime alley kids all being fire but because his abilities are pretty much light centred so it makes sense for his element to be fire. In fact, he's more of a campfire. Fire also symbolizes transformation and community. Considering he started a whole robin movement it seems fitting for his character. He's the light that shines in the darkest of alleys.
Damian: Water. I bet you thought he'd be wind like his father but nope. Talia was a waterbender so he got her side. Which also fits well considering Damian is nothing like his father in my opinion. He's emotional and short tempered, like a pot of boiling water thats been on fire for too long. But when chilled he's also an animal lover and vegetarian. Hes an artist. Like I said, water is to feel and heal. Damian grew up knowing only to harm but when given a choice, chose to heal.
Now who would be the avatar in this type of au? Billy Batson. Why? He has the abilties of multiple gods guiding him in his head, who else would it be?
