Soushi is a square.

He has sharp edges on all sides of him. He is difficult and always too suspicious when the things around him go too smoothly. Conflict, crashing into other people; that’s the life he knows to live. Too clumsy, nervous, sticking to the same old symmetry of thinking that he always had. And when people try to get too close, he manages to push them far away with his intimidating form. Standing tall and blocking them with his four walls: No ones getting in and he’s not getting out. His father said he is not meant to be on top/on par/besides the others. Even as a child he understood it meant that he may be their base, but they would never in this life be his. He needed to stay grounded, let them built their lives on top of him and hold them up so that they wouldn’t tumble down and then fall into pieces. He has long accepted that.

Kazuki is a circle.

He’s smooth and kind, a lovely shape that’s filled with bright affection to the brim. Two times/three times/four times the amount that normal people are. He imitates the sun and moon and represents Soushis entire world. The people wonder why they fit. They shouldn’t fit, they shouldn’t form a shape that’s whole. But Kazuki is big enough inside to embrace Soushi in his sharp entirety. He maybe cuts his one edge open, but with every cut a bit of love pours out and fills the gap between the circle and the square. They form a new base and then built on top. Built themselves small/big/deformed but beautiful. Go from one-dimensional to three, from flat to something touchable.
