It's been such a liberating feeling to stop criticising my art while painting...its beyond the whole "enjoy the process" thing, its about focusing on putting into practice everything i've learned and paint for the love of painting instead of trying to achieve some "higher level". There was a point in life i didn't have to suffer through a painting, i just painted whatever i wanted and i was happy i made it and i'm getting back to that mindset and i'm finally feeling at home again in my own art

#if you are going through something like this just focus on finishing whatever you are drawing #literally think about nothing else but finishing the damn drawing #and then you can critic all you want #but its going to be alright bc you will be holding something of your own and you made with your own two hands #and as cliché as it sounds that more valuable than anything and That's how you really improve your art #the constant persue of perfection will only stop you from sharing and at worse even aproaching art #just finish the damn thing and don't think be cringe be free etc #i was feeling so miserable with my art lately and i realised i don't to do a beautiful thing i just have to do a heartfelt thing #and the beauty will come later #art talk
