Vacation: P β Postcard France (Hetalia) writing a postcard to his s/o
Pouts because he has to go without you Being a country is a lot of work no one signed up for, but he's got to do it nevertheless. And while he'd simply love to take you with him to all the meetings he's got to attend, sometimes you're going to have to stay behind. Maybe it's something you've got scheduled, you can't always leave your job or education behind. Or maybe this time his boss insists that a top-secret government meeting is top secret, and well, you still remember the last time he tried to smuggle you into one of those.
Well, that escalated quickly. There's only so much space on a postcard. And there's no way his love for you is going to fit in there. You're not going to get a postcard, you're going to get a letter. It's a lot more romantic anyway, and he's got so much to tell you. You'll get to know everything that went down there anyway, because he'll describe it in detail. I don't know if he's actually writing his letters to you while being in said meetings, but he'll mention every funny conservation that occurred, everytime Italy made Germany shout, every stupid idea America had. Add that to the declarations of love he usually tells you every day β you'll end up with 15 plus pages easily.
Note: You're also going to hear all of that from him in person when he's back. The stories once, the love declarations a thousand times. He knows it's just been a week without you, but he loves you so much, and, well, and he's got abandonment issues. There were just too many people whom he didn't tell enough how much he loved them before they had to go.
Note 2: If you want to make his romantic heart explode, keep all the letters in a box close to your bed, and tell him you reread them when he's away to feel like he's with you. I can't, however, guarantee that you'll get anything productive done in the next few hours after telling him that, because he'll be all over you.
But I like postcards? Calm down, I didn't say you were going to end up postcard-less. He'll just add them to the letter! That way, you get to see all the nice places, and he doesn't have to pick out one single card when there are so many cute ones. He'll just send you a bunch of them. He'll also be super happy if you hang up maybe one or two of them.
Note: If you mention that one or two places look absolutely beautiful, and that you're a little sad you didn't get to see them, he's got your next vacation booked. Use this to your own advantage.
Vise Versa If you ever try your hand at a love letter to him, it'd be his greatest treasure. He'll reread it every day that he can not see you, and trace the fine lines of your handwriting with his fingertips while smiling, lost in a memory of you. It's absolutely irrelevant whether or not your text is objectively good, and he also doesn't care whether you wrote a postcard, a letter, or a message on a receipt you got in the souvenir shop. It's from you, and that's all that matters.
Note: Cut to England, watching, very confused, as France caresses an old receipt with a note scribbled under the price of sunscreen.
