Finished up the work on the battery replacement and reprogramming the sysex data.

Sounds great. Will post a video. Reflowed the ancient solder and mixed with some fresh flux and silver.

To recap: The point of this was to make sure the program data can be stored without it being constantly plugged into the wall. Pretty simple.

Started to change the battery in the EX-800 from '84. This is the original battery, apparently. It won't hold the program data anymore so you have to change the battery in order for it to hold the data while unplugged, and what have you.

It looks to be in stellar shape inside, despite being almost 30 years old. They really don't make stuff like they used to.

If the equipment doesn't look like it can potentially slice off a limb or an appendage, then it's not well built.
