man, still can't believe I have these two games. been waiting more than 2 decades (21 years to be exact) to play tmnt IV for snes, and had been looking forward to shredder's revenge since it was first announced a couple years ago or so. really wanted a physical copy, which got delayed a few times. but finally have both games in my hands, and greatly enjoying both. playing each one has me getting better at playing the other; just got through level 2 on shredder's revenge and blasted through it faster and easier (and didn't lose a single life) than the first time I'd played it on gamepass. definitely glad my skills are getting better, as it's not much fun sucking at all games all the time 😓 sure, I'm having fun playing, but it'd be nice to not have so many issues with playing - my ability to play, that is - and actually get through the game. both games are increasing my skill after all these years, and it's pretty awesome. or should I say, RADICAL 🤙

finally got a physical copy of shredder's revenge 🤙 totally loving all the extra goodies inside too; the coupon takes me back to the 80s and 90s when I was a kid

got this awesome 2ds and a couple games from snuggumz_game_shop on instagram 👍 always happy to have more handhelds

got a lil stack of games today from my aunt, who found em at a yard sale for super cheap. I'm paying her back dw. really not interested in games like halo, so will be trading most of these in. but not halo reach, as the disc inside is tetris worlds 🤭

got this awesome blu-ray in the post, courtesy of gaming historian brett weiss, who also signed it. mr weiss is in all 5 parts of the documentary. gonna try watching it on thurs when I'm off work. fittingly, my only blu-ray players are in gaming consoles

yeah, got to level 5 without any cheats 💪 had to use a continue during the shredder fight but that's it. this fail gamer's doing pretty darn well~

two days after its release, finally got the cowabunga collection in the post 👍 pre-ordered it through target and yeah. can't tell you how happy I am to finally have this in my hands, as I've had to wait more than 20 years to be able to own and play tmnt iv: turtles in time. got to play someone else's copy back in 2001 during my first year, and first tenure, at college (I talk about it on my blog, axelaydefender.blogspot.com). and have never played it since. the game was always too pricey for my liking, so I've just been waiting and waiting, hoping someday it would become affordable.

well this was a long time coming, but finally got results. several months ago, my sister was going through her stuff and came across a small box that had snes games in it. I was basically like, sELL THEM TO MEEEEEE~ she took out a few, then offered the rest. told her I'd have to clean and test them before negotiating a price. she'd stored those poor games in a storage bin in the garage, and we get VERY VERY hot summers here in oklahoma. (she has no respect or care for her electronics; she has a freaking SEGA CD in the hot garage, a snes, a genesis, several games and even vhs tapes. been trying to buy the video game stuff from her since she cares so little for it)

been meaning to get this game for several years but the prices have always been too steep for my liking. so finally taking the plunge and hopefully will enjoy the game when I get it 👍

a while back, I'd mounted new shelves for some of my games and took closeup pics, but totally forgot to post a shot of the whole thing 😅 so uh yeah, this the wall nearest the window on the right side. left side has blues stuff. nearly all my cartridge games are here; think the only ones missing (excluding handhelds) are for intellivision, atari 2600 and n64. will someday buy more shelving for the rest of my games but yeah. on the second shelf, there are bookends of sorts, that hold various gaming magazines. don't have a whole lot right now so this is a good place to store them for now. also ran out of room on my desk lol. I like the overall setup, really. and maybe someday in the future, will reorganise all my games since they're kind of a mess atm

YEAH beat level 2 💪 had to stop a couple times due to unsolicited phone call and my fingers going numb (that happens a lot when using my mobile, playing games or drawing) but I beat the level on my last life. the game overall is quite tough but that's the point so yeah lol. it's fun as well though. I'll eventually get the physical version too, when budget allows for it

well, no cat interference (just one begging me for dinner even though dinner's not for another hour) but lost all my lives in level 2 😓 it's really tough to play when the characters aren't on the same plane, if you will, as the enemies. so I've got donatello swinging his bō all round and not hitting anyone. and enemies throwing things and hitting poor donnie before I can get him to them. the foot soldiers riding bikes is a real pain too. but this fail gamer isn't gonna give up so easily, gonna try it some more and maybe get through it to level 3 💪

pretty nice getting the chance to play some ninja turtles on my mom's huge tv. I think it's 65"? but it may be kind of a problem when the cats see the action on there and want to join in their own way lol
