How do you think Dany could react to Jonโs parentage? Part of me wonders if sheโd struggle with it less then he would tbh
I think that dany would be over the moon to find out that she has family left, especially rhaegarโs son! tbh people who think that sheโd feel threatened by jon or faegon are forgetting that dany isnโt *really* searching for the throne, sheโs searching for home/love/family/belonging. her first reaction isnโt going to be โhow does this impact the line of succession?โ, itโs going to be โyou mean Iโm not alone anymore ?? ๐ฅฐโ
the main issue that I could see would be the question of rhaegar and lyanna and the chaos that their relationship brought to both of their families. like I donโt see jon idolizing rhaegar the way that dany does, especially if he feels more connected to lyanna. could that cause some tension between them? maybe. but then again any tension about their family histories would exist whether jon was a targaryen or not.
plus the whole incest thing isnโt exactly an issue for dany, so unless jon has an issue with it (which he might) then it wouldnโt even have to change their relationship. a bf and a nephew. 2 for 1 deal. win-win <3
also jon is a freak. theyโre both freaks. thatโs like their whole thing. a little incest isnโt going to scare him off. I have complete faith in their ability to overcome incest for the sake of their trauma bond. obviously jon is going to struggle with his sense of identity after his parentage reveal but that will probably just make him and dany even more codependent because theyโre just like that.
