Mods for The Sims 2
These are the compilation of mods i used on my game from various mod creators of the Sims 2 community.
DISCLAIMER: none of these mods are mine ~ credits to its rightful owners and huge thanks to all of them. Also, this blog was inspired by @pleasantsimmer ‘s Recommended Mods List.)

Anti-Corruption Mods:
Mootilda’s Hood Checker – This is a tool and not really a mod, but it’s necessary to check your hoods for corruption. Read all documentation on the download page.
No Corrupt Death – Suppresses the corrupt death memory.
No Unlink on Delete – Game no longer partially destroys sim file on deletion of tombstone. May resolve potential random tombstone losses when moving tombstones to community lots resulting from shredded character files produced by unlinkage.
Essential Mods:
Bat Box as Vase (FFS Lot Debugger) - This has a lot of similar features to the Sim Blender, but also has a lot of helpful debug options.
ChristianLov’s Gussy-Up - This mod allows you to buy, change, and plan outfits from a pie menu in-game. Allows you to change townie clothing and change appearance of any Sim directly by clicking on them.
Cyjon’s Debugger - A general purpose object, meant to compliment items like Pescado's batbox. Can be found in Buy Mode under Miscellaneous/Miscellaneous as the pizza box. I used it to correctly synchronizes student with Semester Changes.
Cyjon’s Smarter EP Check - Most of Cyjon’s mods require this mod so make sure you download this first before you go on a download spree on his site.
Lazyduchess’Sims2RPC - @lazyduchess‘ custom launcher with various fixes and adjustments. You may also want to check out TS2 Extender for Legacy Collection if you have the Legacy Collection.
Lazyduchess’ Story Progression Mod - This mod attempts to add Story Progression into The Sims 2, kind of like in The Sims 3.
Lazyduchess’ Separate Top/Bottoms for non-Everyday Clothes Mod - self-explanatory.
Sim Blender – The ultimate Sim management “God” mod.

Gameplay Mods:
Anniversary - This mod adds relationship anniversary to the game.
Bigger Families - Allows an unlimited number of sims on the lot.
Deadly Satellites - Increases the chance of satellite death.
Holidays - This mod gives you holidays for your sims.
Mood Mod – This mod makes it so that the Aspiration meter directly influences the sim’s mood.
More Dangerous Fires - This is a global mod to make fire more dangerous in the Sims 2.
No Instant Firefighter & Cop - This mod will give a slight delay for firefighter or cop to come to sim's lot.
Parenthood - This mod gives character values to your sims from child to teen.
Prom + After School Activity - Now your teen sim can experience prom and do after school activity. (Optional: Prom Plugins)
Realistic Sickness - This mod is an attempt to make sicknesses more realistic, after you have caught the sickness.
The Fight Club - Makes fighting a more desirable option in the game. Fighting is now also more skill-based. Grouchy sims will find fighting to be fun! The more grouchy the sim, the more fun fighting is!
Zombie Apocalypse - Zombies will now attempt to attack other sims and EAT THEIR BRAINS, turning them into zombies as well!
Autonomy Mods:
Always Use Bookshelf - Sims will always put books away on bookshelves rather than putting them on tables.
Always Flush Toilet/Wash Hands - Sims will now always flush the toilet when finished using it.
Always Flush Puke - Sims who throw up for any reason will flush the toilet after.
Auto Do Homework – Calls all children and teens on the lot to do their homework at 7:00 PM. They will quit if fun gets too low, so no risk of everyone having straight A’s.
Autonomous Put Away Leftovers - This mod makes the Put Away Leftovers interaction on plates and bowls autonomous.
Autonomous Eat Leftovers - This global mod directs a starving Sim to get leftovers from the fridge and eat them, rather than annoyingly waving at the player. Starving Sims will also put away grocery deliveries.
No Autonomous Ask To Be Read To – This mod STOMPS the autonomous behavior of both toddlers and children when they go pester their older siblings, relatives and parents to read a book to them. The mod does not nerf the option to ask to be read to.
No Autonomous Chess – This mod prevents sims from autonomously playing chess.
No Autonomous Socials Collection – This mod prevents all sims from autonomously doing the interactions listed on the site.
No Autonomous Hacks - several autonomy hacks by monique. – No autonomous Playing of chess if logic skill is maxed out and Fun (Motives) is greater than 50%. – No autonomous Playing of original (Maxis) musical instruments if Creativity skill is maxed out and Fun (Motives) is greater than 50%. – No autonomous Playing of Swings if Fun (Motives) is greater than 50%. – No autonomous Playing of Poker if Fun (Motives) is greater than 50%. - No Autonomous Snowball Fight if Fun (Motives) is greater than 50% - No Autonomous Play Catch if Fun (Motives) is greater than 50% - No Autonomous Dance On Toes if Fun (Motives) is greater than 50%
No Autonomous Write In Diary - This mod will stop sims from automatically writing in their diary.
No “Turn On” Stereo if Sim is Sleepy - This disables the autonomous “Turn On” for any stereo object if the sim is at or below 50 Energy (about 75%).
Macrotastics – Adds options to automate tedious and repetitive gameplay, including motive-maintenance, businesses, socializing, and skilling.
Social Auto Mod - This mod adds important checks to numerous interactions which prevent other sims from initiating autonomous social interactions towards any sim who is engaged in such an interaction.
Turn Off Stereo When Done Dancing - This mod makes sims turns off the stereo when they are done dancing if nobody else is dancing.
Fix Mods:
Auto Lights Mod - This mod changes the rules the game uses to determine if a light which has been set to automatic (which is the default setting) should be on or off.
Aging Mods Fix - There are a number of mods and fixes on this page related to aging in the Sims 2.
Beach Mods - There are a number of separate mods and fixes on this page related to beach interactions.
Better Phone Messages - This mod replaces the pointlessly nasty telephone messages with more courteous ones. It also adds the feature that when the sim you are calling isn't home because of work or school, it will tell you when they will return.
Better Roach Stomp - Stomping roaches now has a 50-100% chance of killing them, based on the sim's Body.
Better Scope Room - This global mod changes the universal "X is HOT!" message after a Sim scopes the room to one that reflects the actual attraction the Sim feels towards the target of their affection.
Children Can Throw Parties - A simple mod that allows children to throw their own parties for themselves.
Dance Near Stereo - Sims will now move near a stereo before doing the smustle, hula or slap dance rather than dancing to the music in their heads.
Dirty Cooker From Burnt Food - A simple fix to make the cooker dirty when food is burnt.
Dispose Junk Food Together - Sims will collect all junk food in the room and then make a single trip to the waste bin.
Dispose Newspapers Together - Sims will collect all newspapers on the lot and recycle/compost them in a single trip to the bin.
Don't Wave At Me - Stops the turn, face camera, wave at you obnoxiously thing when sims go wrong. Now they can pass out, pee themselves, and die in whatever direction they were facing previously, without that silly waving-their-arms-at-you thing.
Dress Me Correctly – Sims will put on the correct clothing when changing depending on time of day and their schedule.
Dumb In Use Test - Sims will be stupider about deciding if an object is in use...which is a good thing.
Eat More, Talk Less While Dining – This hack will completely bypass the conversation if the sims is in desperation for energy, hunger, fun or bladder, or is in a bad mood. Sims with maxed social will talk less.
Electronics Mod - There is a number of electronics-related mods on this page that either fix existing issues or add new features.
Environment Motive - Harder environment motive score.
Exercise Bike Fix – Prevents Sims from dying on the exercise bike from not stopping and taking care of their needs.
Extended Family Treated as Family – Allows the game to recognize second cousins, first cousins once removed, great grandparents, great grandchildren, and great aunts and uncles as family members. No more dating distant relatives!
Faster Zits - Teens develop acne in half the time.
Fight Mod - This mod fixes quite a few issues with fight interactions, and it also adds new features.
Fire Mod – Fixes a lot of issues with how Sims interact with fire. Sims who study fire safety will now behave as intended by attempting to put out fires.
Get Off Your Ass - Sims are much less likely to just sit around doing nothing.
Grilled Cheese Love Cooking Channel - The favorite channel for grilled cheese sims will be the Yummy Channel regardless of age.
Jump Rope Outside - With this mod, Sims always go outside to jump rope. They still cannot do it in deep snow or on a road.
Just Leave Already - Eliminates the "feature" of AL which caused guests pester your playable sims to say goodbye. Guests will now just leave.
Kids Can Make Cereal - A small little mod that lets children get cereal from Maxis fridges, instead of having to resort to snacks all the time.
Less Coughing - Halves the duration of coughing fits caused by pneumonia or other illnesses. Created when I had a pregnant sim nearly die of starvation because of two coughing fits in a row.
Less Naked Freakout - Sims will no longer freak out when seeing their lovers naked.
Less Time Playing Video Games – This mod prevents all Sims from playing/watching sims play video games all day by making them stop if their fun is high, they are hungry or have to use the restroom.
More Energy From Coffee – This mod increases the energy gain from coffee to the same energy gain sims get from drinking espresso.
More Energy When Napping On Sofas – This mod gives all sims more energy when they nap on all sofas & they nap until their energy is full.
Never Loose A Fight With A Weaker Sim – This mod makes it so your sim will always win a fight if the other sims body skill is lower than your sims, if both sims body skills are the same the one that starts the fight will always loose.
No Death Type Loss when Moving Tombstones – Fixes a bug that causes Sims to lose their death type when you move the tombstone to a community lot. Ghosts will now be the correct color based on their death type after moving.
No Shade Eyes Salute - Nukes the annoying overlay animations sims now do in M&G when going from inside to outside, including the shade eyes from sun salute that doesn't check to see if the sim has something in their hands.
No Wash Clean Hands - Designed specifically to fix an annoyance when using both Bathroom Uses You from MATY and Always Flush Toilet/Wash Hands from Simbology. Sims no longer wash their hands after a shower.
Personality Please - This is a simple mod that opens up the more extreme personality interactions and animations.
Privacy Mods - This mod changes the way privacy works. It also adds a few extra features to how privacy works while a sim is using the toilet (non-stall).
Random Radio Station – Sims will now turn on the radio to a random station instead of always Salsa.
Rug Texture Fix – Fixes the wonky textures that happen to rugs when placed off-grid.
Self Preservation - Sims will be less stupid about taking care of needs, emphasizing hunger over bladder or energy.
Shorter Jokes– Sims tell shorter jokes.
Simply Leftovers – Allows you to store leftovers as single plates so Sims don’t have to take out the group-sized plate every time they want leftovers.
Sims Transparency Fix - This mod will prevent Sims from randomly getting broken transparency.
Smart Beds – Forces the bed ownership system in the game to actually work. Sims will autonomously use the bed they have the most ownership of.
Smarter Privacy - Sims are smarter about bathroom and woohoo privacy, ignoring unshooable or irrelevant sims.
Smarter Parent Choice for College Cinematics – Makes the game choose who drops your Sim off at college based on relationship with the parent.
Stair Mods - There are a number of mods on this page related to stairs.
Stop turning on the stereo at night! - This is a global mod that disables autonomous use of the turn on interaction on stereos between 9pm and 9am.
Townie Fixes - This mod fixes certain issues with Townies.
Use Inaccessible Beds - This little hack, which is compatible with TJ's Smart Beds, lets your Simmies get into a double bed where one side is against a wall, or the head of it is wedged into a bay window etc etc.
Miscellaneous Mods:
Apologize Replacement Animations – This mod replaces the default apologize animations with the plead animations.
Become an Author Without a Computer – This mod allows you to write a novel without using a computer using a notepad. Great for your historic hoods, or generally poor authors who can’t yet afford to buy a computer.
Desperation Interactions Enabled - This mod allows you to have sims throw a tantrum, panhandle for simoleons, talk to cup-stick buddy, toss love flour sack baby, romance sponge mop lover, Learn from Prof. von Ball, all cheesed out, & wear a lamp shade on their head.
Dizzy Sims 2 Hacks (Magic AL7) - Compilation of useful Dizzy mods that requires Apartment Life.
This compilation includes the following:
auto-pay-all-bills: Makes sims autonomously pay bills at the mailbox.
exit-fun-hack: Sims that have already acquired fun will be more open to queued interactions.
stuff-face-hack: Replaces useless “Stuff Face” with “Go Shopping”. Sim will walk off the lot for a while to go shopping
For Sale Sign – Automatically keeps kitchen and bathroom built-ins, all light fixtures, and gives you proper value when moving from a lot. Based on the stay things shrub.
Loan Jar – Allows your Sims to take out loans and you can set the interest rate.
Lot Sync Timer - Tracks lot time in rotations to day-length precision, and allows jumping directly to lots in the rotation without going through neighborhood load screen.
Low Food Warning Dialog - Adds a warning dialog telling you to buy more food that will appear once the total household food stock is less than 50. Also available in a version that ignores mini-fridges when counting the available food stock. Only install one of the Warning Dialog hacks at a time!
Male Body Hair Controller - Inky-Fish's Male Bodyhair Overlays based on AlienBBQ's body hair textures, these are linked to the hair color of the sim, just apply one of five hair patterns and it will automatically pick the right color. (Located at Miscellaneous > Miscellaneous)
Propose.../Be Roommate to Anyone! - We can ask anyone to be a roommate.
Shared Showering - This global mod allows two romantically involved Sims to share a shower in the shower-tubs, and to have extra fun while getting clean.
Sleepwear by Personality – Changes the logic for sims choosing what to wear when going to bed autonomously.
Select Your Cemetery – Sims dying on apartment lots are no longer sent to a random cemetery. You can now choose the cemetery to send them to.
Sims Always Defend Yourself – This mod makes all Sims always poke or shove back the sim that pokes or shoves them.
Sit on Floor to Watch TV – This mod allows sims to sit on the floor & watch TV.
Slap Interaction Variety Mod - Sims will use different slap animations based on their personality.
Stay-Things Shrub - Has a menu so you can choose if your buy mode objects stay when the family moves out, or get sold.
Stay-Things Shrub Fixer - This mod ensured that your unoccupied lot value includes the current value of all objects on the lot, so that the next family to move into the lot will pay its real value.
Sunbathe Anywhere – This mod allows sims to sunbathe anywhere.
Swimming Pool Conversations – This mod allows your sims to chat while swimming.
Visit/Walk To Other Sims House - Allows your sim to visit or walk into another household.
Watch TV from All Chairs – Allows your Sims to watch TV from chairs facing any direction at least 10 squares back from the TV – even if they’re facing sideways or at 45-degree angles.
Build & Buy Mode Mods:
Buyable Gadgets - Buy Cell Phones, MP3 Players and Handheld Games directly from the catalog. All gadgets will be found under Electronics > Small Electronics (telephones). Buy, place on floor, then move into inventory.
Buyable Outdoor Trashcan - outdoor trashcan that comes with every lot in buy mode.
Decorative Parking Spots – To make cars appear in the parking lot. You will need to place these yourself if you use them.
MOAR Slots: The Complete Collection - Same as more deco-slots but make sure to choose only one of them.
More Deco-slots - This mod adds decorative slots on top of many Maxis furniture, like dressers or vanity tables.
OMSPs – One more slot please. Allows you to place more decorative objects in more places. Also useful for posing Sims for screenshots.
Parking Lot Supplemental Pack – Includes a nice parking block to make your parking lot look nicer.
Simple Laundry - This set adds laundry to your game. Wash clothes in a washing machine or in sink, dry them in a dryer or on clothesline, drop clothing piles on the floor, store dirty laundry in hampers, build commercial laundromat, and get motive bonuses for doing laundry!
Computer Mods:
Brighter Computer Screens – Brightens the screens of in-game computers so you can see what your Sims are doing.
Default Replacement Computer Screens – Replaces the in-game PC screens with much better looking ones.
Glowing Computer Fix - With this mod, turned off computers don't glow as if they were turned on.
Monique’s Hacked Computer – I use this mod to manage bank accounts for my Sims, get jobs, study skills, shop online, and a lot more!
Phone Mods:
Call Anyone - Allows you to call anyone, even Sims in the Family Bin.
THE FOLLOWING MOD LINKS ARE HERE:
Phone Teen Running Fix: Whenever a phone rings, teens have a chance to run to the phone. However, once they start talking on the phone, they don't stop running, which is a Maxis oversight. This mod fixes this and makes teens stop running once they answer the phone.
Phone Community Business Lot Fix: Maxis forgot to prevent the game from ringing landline phones on OFB community lots if the currently controlled family is not the owner's family. This mod fixes this.
Phone Neighbour Invite Over Rel Mod This mod makes it so that when Sim A calls Sim B to invite them, the game checks Sim B's attracted STR and LTR towards Sim A to determine whether Sim B accepts. In an unmodded game, the game doesn't take chemistry into account.
Phone Emergency Run Mod: This mod makes it so that when the player initiates the Call>Service>Emergency interaction, the game will make the sim run to the phone if there is an active fire or a burglar on the lot.
Phone Cell Hotel Room Service Fix: There is a Maxis oversight in the game that makes it so that when a sim orders room service on a hotel lot on a cell phone, the game can't keep track of whether the sim ordered a single or group serving. This mod fixes this glitch.
Education Mods:
College Tuition and Student Loans - With this mod, the game will charge tuition and track loans for you.
Desk Locator AKA Put Your Homework Away Properly – Place the desk locator on a desk or table and have your Sim claim the desk via the menu on the object. They will put their homework on their own desk.
Edukashun Iz Gud - Sims can get into any career track regardless of degree, but promotions will be limited based on education.
Faster Homework – Finish homework in 15 minutes instead of an hour.
Faster University Education - With this mod, your young adults will finish their college education faster. I used the One semester = 24 hours variation.
Later Classes – Moves all morning university classes later in the day so no class starts before noon. Complements the Semester Changes mod.
Partial Homework Credit – This mod gives kids credit for partially completed homework.
Semester Changes – Makes University 8 days instead of 24.
School Mods – This mod fixes problems with the way a sim determines which friend to bring home from school, makes it so that private school students leave school earlier than usual, and makes it so that your household needs to pay 100 simoleons per each child/teen studying in private school.
Job Mods:
Level Numbers Added to Job Titles – Adds the job level next to the job title in menu screens. Very handy for quickly seeing what level your Sim is at in their career.
Lower Wages - Reduces wages to bring the inflated salaries for jobs in the expansion packs in line with the base game.
Pop Star Career (Adult and Teen) - Careers for wanna be pop stars!
Work & Bring Home Friend Dialogue – A dialog box (Yes/No) will pop up that will ask you if it’s okay to bring a friend home from work.
Business Mods:
Business Mod – Fixes a lot of issues with Open for Business. Recommended if you intend on playing Sim-owned businesses in your neighborhoods.
Customers Leave After Paying - Customers in player-owned stores will always leave after buying something.
Fake Townie Sales - Prevents townie inventories from getting cluttered with junk from your stores.
Fairly Paid Regulator - This is a cloned Open/Closed sign that allows you to view your employees wage status and to set auto regulate (ON/OFF) to a Fairly Paid for all your employees.
No Lame Hires – Non-townie sims with jobs >= L6 or who are already working in a user business are no longer considered eligible hires and will not clog the hiring pool, nor be available with the “hire” option unless they quit. Sims will never want to hire anyone who already has a job.
No More Becoming Friends - This mod prevent your sims from having a lot of unwanted friends because of the sales interaction.
No Quitting - Prevents employees from quitting just because you didn’t read their mind and realize they wanted a raise. They will complain but won’t actually quit.
No Unwanted Suff - This mod stops your playable sims from filling up their inventory with unwanted items & going broke when your not playing them. This mod includes Squinge’s no bag throwing mod.
Townie Budget Mod – Townies can no longer buy items they can’t afford at businesses, eat at restaurants if they have no money, etc. Does wonders for realism. No more endless money for townies.
Simlogical OFB Mods – I personally use the Automatic Open Sign, but others on this page include the automatic cash register and automatic stocking sign.
Finance Mods:
Bigger Bills - Bills come more often and are much larger.
Halved Apartment Rent – Halves the rent due, making the apartments more affordable.
More Realistic Payment for Maxis Careers – All salaries have been cut in half, which is much more realistic.
No20kHandouts - Sims will not automatically get $20,000 just for becoming adults. Must Have AL or the Ultimate Collection for this version to work.
Professional Blogger – Sims who have maxed out enthusiasm in a hobby will earn money during the time they blog.
Salary Bonus – Rewards Sims for long service, in addition to pay increases from being promoted. Sims who remain at their current career level (pay grade) will receive pay rises as their days worked at that level increase.
Utility Mod (Electricity and Water Bill) - This mod adds electricity and water usage which contribute to your bills. No more free electricity or water.
Hobby, Wants, & LTW Mods:
A Wants Tree Collection - This is a collection of various wants based mods.
Creativity Gain Enabled For Blogging & Diary - This mod allows sims to gain creativity skill while blogging/writting in their diary.
Enthusiasm Overhaul – The mods improves the hobby enthusiasm system, better matching hobbies to interests, makes the One True hobby more important than others, decay is dependent on interests, stops annoying hobby messages and more. Also includes a mod that prevents sims gaining cuisine enthusiasm for every meal they eat.
Greater LTW Variety & Sanity - Makes LTW, especially for careers, appropriate to the sim.
LTW Reduced - The mod reduces the lifetime want requirements.
Professional Blogger – Sims who have maxed out enthusiasm in a hobby will earn money during the time they blog.
Uni Career Wants & Interest Based Career Wants - This mod enables regular wants to Get a Job in university careers and restricts other full-time career wants by interests.
Wants and Fears Sanity - Makes wants and fears more "sane", with fewer ludicrous, illogical, out-of-character, implausible, or just flat out impossible items clogging slots.
Townie & NPC Mods:
Anti-redundancy - Eliminates spawning of unnecessary redundant NPCs.
All Walkbys - Makes it more likely that a walkby will be a sim you know.
Burglar Mod - This mod adds more features to how burglars work in the Sims 2.
Butler Mod - This mod fixes certain issues with the Butler NPC from Apartment Life, and also adds new features.
Burglary Odds Tuning Mod - Make burglaries appear often.
Local Walkbys – Sim residential walkbys now will only be people who actually live in your ‘hood or sub-‘hood.
Longer Maid Hours - A simple mod that changes the service hours of the maid from 10am-5pm to 8am-6pm.
Random Dormies - Residents of dormitories are picked randomly.
Seletable NPC – Allows you to choose which maid, gardener, nanny, etc. to hire from the ones available in your ‘hood.
Shiny Tyme NPC Everywhere Patch - This file is an override (patch) to the Shiny Tyme dorm cooktop. It means whatever lot type you place this in, it will get an NPC cook working just like they do on dorm lots.
Townie Body Diversity – Any spawned townies have a chance of being either fat or fit. Every Sim is no longer thin.
Townie Move-In No Memory Loss – Townies will keep all their memories when moving into a playable household.
Memory Mods:
Engagement Memory Fix – Fixes a very annoying bug that causes some Sims to have a negative memory of getting engaged when it should be positive.
Memories About Roommates Fix– With this mod, newly created Kicked Out Roommate and Roommate Moved Out memories contain the name of the roommate and their portrait. Originally, those memories only contain a portrait of a mystery Sim. This mod does not change existing memories.
Memory Based Diary Writing - Sims will think about the most recent memories and the people involved in those when writing in their diary, with appropriate reactions depending on if the memory is positive or negative.
Memory Mod – fixes quite a few problems with certain memories and memory-related interactions in the Sims 2.
Met New Great Grandchild Memory – This mod gives the memory of meeting a new great grandchild.
No Memory Uneducated & No Want Satisfy Uneducated – Prevents Sims from getting a negative memory for not going to college and prevents them from crying about it. (I downloaded Mega college pack and changed College Interactions On Any Lot to V1.1)
Name Mods:
Baby Last Name Chooser – Allows you to choose the baby’s last name upon birth. Useful for babies born out of wedlock.
Last Name Copier – Allows you to copy last names between Sims. Good for changing the last name of your children to the father’s last name when unmarried couples procreate.
Marriage Last Name Chooser – Allows you to choose the last name of two Sims getting married.
Age & Time Mods:
Age Group Tweak - This package contains the BCON that deals with how long each age stage lasts. You can edit them with SimPe to make boring ages last less time, or keep adults fertile longer etc.
Aging at midnight (instead of 6pm) - This mod is a simple tweak that changes the hour of age processing. This means that your Sims will now age at midnight (12am), like in The Sims 3 and 4.
Auto Choose Random Aspiration When Growing Up Into Teens - Aspirations are chosen randomly by the computer automatically, no dialog!
Community Time Project – Enables the passing of time on community lots to be spent on the home lot. When a Sim leaves a community lot at 5:00 PM, it will be 5:00 PM when they get back home, but you’ll still be able to play the family left behind in the meantime.
Day Setter – Used to set the day of the week when Sims move to a new lot. Necessary to keep their ages in sync with the rest of the ‘hood.
Elders Sleep Through the Night – self-explanatory.
Lazyduchess’ Smart AgeCorrect - corrects the ages in your hood.
Life Span = 1 year old - The new lifespan lets you see how old your Sims are, compared to real life age, and fixes the disproportion between teens and adults. One day is one year.
Longer Seasons - self-explanatory and can be edited through SimPE
Merola’s Time Control Clock - Changes time slower or faster.
Programmable Sleep Clock - Clock will automatically compute the hour at which your Sim should go to go to sleep based on your desired waking hour and many more!
Seasons and Weather Controller – Similar to Day Setter it is used to change the current seasons and it’s remaining length, but also has other season and weather-related uses.
Shorter/Longer Days & Quicker/Slower Motive Decay - self explanatory.
Timing Fix - This is a very small fix for an annoying bug that causes timed events such as Aging and Aspiration Decay to stop working forever on specific lots or neighborhoods.
Genetics Mods:
Evie’s Equal Genetics - This mod changes genetic rules for eyes and hair in your game and it's perfect for the simmers who like to have full control over their new sims born in-game.
More Realistic Genetics - This mod makes hair and eye color genetics more realistic.
Baby & Toddler Mods:
Baby Bottle Replacement – Replaces the green baby bottles with clear bottles filled with milk.
Baby Toddler Mod - This mod fixes a large number of issues with babies and toddlers, and also finishes and adds Maxis' unfinished Breastfeeding interaction to the game.
Crib Get Out – Allows your toddlers to get out of the crib by themselves.
No Baby Harassment – Sims will no longer constantly harass babies a million times an hour for no reason.
Parenting Mod - This mod makes it so that sims who have studied Parenting teach all toddler skills at twice the regular speed. In addition, when they encourage a sim, the personality change effect is higher.
Self-Exploding Bottles - Baby bottles (regular and smart) that are spoiled or empty will simply go poof.
Teach Toddler Nursery Rhyme Fun – This mod boosts the Sims’ (both Sim teaching and toddler learning) Fun and Social motives while the Sim is teaching the nursery rhyme to the toddler.
Toddler Potty Fixes - Maid can now clean potty. Adults can now potty train even if potty is dirty. Toddlers will not stop going if another interaction is queued. Fixing annoying delay at the end of potty training.
Pet Mods:
Baby Pet Creator – Create puppies and kittens for your Sims to adopt.
Cats Hunt Roaches – This mod will allow your cats to hunt those pesky roaches that hang around causing disease and frustration among your sims. The action is autonomous and appeals to the cat’s fun motive. It raises fun and lowers hygiene (for playing with filthy roaches).
Pets and Children share Bed – This is a mod that allows Pets and Children to use the bed at the same time. Pets can sleep or relax at the foot of the bed whilst the child sleeps or relaxes at the head of the bed.
Pregnancy & Adoption Mods:
24 Hour Pregnancy – Sims will give birth 24 hours from conception instead of in 3 days.
Adopt Teen Gender Preference – Allows you to adopt teens and choose the gender and skin tone of the adopted baby, toddler, child, or teen.
Pregnancy Relationship Change – For when a sim’s pregnancy first shows and those around her realize she’s pregnant. Allows a Sim to figure out a baby is not “his” if he has high enough logic skill points.
Same Day Adoption – The social worker will bring your child on the same day you call the adoption agency.
Romance & Relationship Mods:
Autonomous Casual Romance (ACR) – Allows your Sims to autonomously woohoo, try for baby, make booty calls, and perform a whole host of romantic interactions. Gives your Sims more freedom to make their own romantic decisions and creates a lot of drama and fun in your neighborhood. I also use this mod to increase the chance of spawning gays and bi’s on my neighborhood.
All Sims Walk Sexy – This mod can be found in the Romance Mods Category
Bisexual Influence Fix - Stops influence system from forcing bisexual sims to choose a gender preference.
First Kiss Enabled – This mod enables first kiss to be used any time you wish as long as the relationship score is high enough. See the “first kiss” cutscene with any two Sims.
Gender Preference Fix - This mod slightly alters the way gender preference works in romantic socials.
InTeen - This mod allows teens to WooHoo, become pregnant and perform other interactions that are normally only available to adults.
More Realistic Relationship Decay – Self-explanatory; relationship decay is now more realistic. (I downloaded the FT version)
No Bi Gender Preference Decrease – Sims stay bisexual instead of turning straight depending on which sex they interact with.
Same Sex Marriage - Replaces Joined Unions with Marriage for same sex couples. Includes relevant wants, fears, and memories.
Woohoo Count Fix – Fixes a problem with woohoo count. If a Sim has woohooed with the same sim multiple times in different types of woohoo, the game will now consider that as having woohooed with only one sim.

Criquette’s Linden Trees as Default Replacements – Less blurry, more beautiful trees for your hoods.
Dreadpirate’s Blue Snow No More - Shader fixes that remove the blue snow at night.
Gunmod’s Camera Mod – Necessary to view your skies and skylines. Allows you to view the far edges of your hood and have a top-down view, plus many more camera angles.
Lazy Duchess’ Soft Outdoor Shadows - This is a really quick shader modification that turns the blobby outdoor shadows into soft ones, like in the family portrait and indoors.

Seasons-ready Skylines – Gorgeous skylines that work beautifully with the above animated skies. I use Green Hills for Pleasantview but they are all gorgeous.
The Great Sky of Totalitarianism – Beautiful animated skies for your hoods and lots. You’ll need the sky box mesh, sky fix, full archive of lot skies, and full archive of hood skies (all available in this link) to make your skies look like mine in game.
Voeille’s Texture Replacements – Less blurry textures for beaches, cliffs, and snow.
Lighting Mods:
Criquette’s Lighting Remedy - This mod will improve the appearance of your neighborhoods by altering the lightning in neighborhood mode to match it with lot mode lighting. (I used @justasimplayer modified download since it’s compatible with MM lighting mod).
Dreadpirate’s Maxis Match Lighting Mod - MM Lighting Mod is a lighting configuration mod for The Sims 2 that aims to improve on vanilla Maxis lighting, while at the same time retain its very essence.
Scriptorium + Radiance Lighting Mod - It helps users to install custom fireplaces, modular stairs, walls and lights. Also has the *option* (not active by default) to install the "RADIANCE" lighting mod (latest version).
Spookymuffin’s Lighting Mod - Is quite simple and only modifies the base game lighting files.
Bonus Hack:
Force 12Hr Clock 64bit - Updated Beef682's file for 64bit systems. This hack literally forces your game clock to 12Hr, so you don’t have to change it every time. Just run the 12 Hour Clock64.reg on the folder and don’t worry as it only affects the Sims 2.
