Horku turns. Otoya freezes mid-step, eyes widening in a rare double-take. His smirk drops for a split second — genuine shock, like spotting an impossible offside trap.

He recovers fast, hands in pockets, that smug ninja grin snapping back but with extra edge.

“Blue Lock is exhausting. Everybody’s trying to become the center of the universe all at once.

Most people here are loud about their ego, but mine’s quieter. It’s more like adapting little by little until suddenly I become something dangerous.

I don’t really like standing out socially. I stay in my room a lot. People think I’m hard to read because my face barely changes.

But if there’s a puppy nearby I immediately lose all aura points.

Sometimes I stay awake too long scrolling through terrible news or horror theories and freak myself out for no reason. Then I distract myself with anime or snacks until sunrise.

I think soccer feels good because it shuts my brain up for once.

Also… if Bachira ran at me smiling in a dark hallway I think I’d actually die.”
