“If people could only be what they want the world would be a foggier place. But then who wouldn’t want that?” Graphua blinked, “Monsters tend to do that, it’s why we associate the word with fear.” he shrugged, “Then I am afraid you’re going to drive yourself to oblivion since your conscience matters more. Unless you find another alternative.”

“Well...I’ve been using animals...” He muttered as he leaned back on the wall and looked up Graphua

Graphua sighed, “So vampire’s enjoy leaving their children alone too, how charming.” He closed the book and leaned against the alley wall, “The supernatural community could use a lesson on parenting I feel. Will bagged blood not suffice your hunger?”

“I didn’t want to be a vampire, so I will never consider the man who changed me my father.” He huffed “He made me into a monster and made me kill the only person close to me” he muttered before looking away “It would...But I don’t want to steal something that could save someones life.”

Graphua narrowed his eyes but didn’t let down his guard. “People don’t mean to do many things. Yet they still do them,” he sighed slightly, “And yes, that much is obvious. Do you not have a maker to attend to you?” he asked.

Joey bit his lip and brought his knees to his chest “No I don’t...He abandoned me to let me fill with bloodlust..” He muttered “He wanted me to kill as many people as I could”

Gabriel sighed, shifting his weight onto one foot, “I’m not avoiding it…” He paused for a moment, “I’m just not quite sure about the answer.” The Archangel shrugged, “And what about you? What are you doing out here if not hunting?”

Joey glared at the man as his brow slowly raised “I live out here for now. Being able to feed is just a perk”

Graphua held the book like a weapon, to him it was, “I am nothing too special, but more than enough to handle one vampire who from the looks of things is very new to the role.” Why else would he be so reckless in his attack, “And what happened was just a taste of what I can do, so be very careful before trying that again.” he said slowly, staring down at Joey.

Joey snapped out of the bloodlust and blushed deeply “P-Please I didn’t mean to...Please forgive me...” He squeaked out as tears formed in his eye “I-I’m really sorry...I-I can’t control it.”

Graphua called out when he was pinned against the wall. “What the?” he narrowed his eyes at Joey, “Vampire.” He threw his Lexicon and the book opened letting out a bright light, using the distraction Graphua pulled away and to stand a few paces away from Joey, holding his Lexicon at the ready, “I am no one’s dinner.” he said coldly.

Joey covered his eyes and stumbled back as the lightly caught him by surprise. “Ah...What the hell...” He hissed as he fell onto his butt. “W-What are you...? What just happened...?”

Graphua frowned sightly, he could feel a change though he wasn’t sure what. “Really, might I suggest something with carbohydrates? They are very filling.” he brought his Lexicon closer.

Joey growled and suddenly pulled Graphua into an alleyway and pinned him against the stone walls “I-I think you’ll be enough” He hissed as he looked into the man’s eyes with bloodshot eyes and slowly licked over his fangs

Joey let out a little growl as his fangs pushed through “I’m starved...” He muttered as his eyes started to go bloodshot and the bloodlust started to take over.

“In general yes, but at home we do not use the word, I find it interesting. Language is a fascinating thing.” he said, “Words hold a magic all of their own.”

Joey shrugged “Yeah...I guess...” He muttered trying to hurry a bit “Almost there...”

Graphua smiled, “Oh no, please continue. It is not a problem.” he nodded and kept walking, “Blocks, such an interesting word to use for distance.” 

Joey bit his lip and looked forward “Yeah...It’s a little weird I guess” He muttered as he started to get affected by Graphua’s blood scent

Graphua chuckled, “I haven’t been led by the hand in some time.” he said, tightening his grip slightly, “Is this place far?”

Joey blushed slightly “Sorry...Do you not want me too?” he asked as he looked back at Graphua. “It’s a couple of blocks away”

“The Grill,” he said slowly, testing the words, “Just so.” he smiled, “Very well, would you like to go and get something to eat?” he asked.

Joey nodded and took Graphua’s hand “It’s this way” He mumbled as he began to tug the man toward The Grill”

“Hello.” he said, looking about, “Well, is there a library in town? I would like to know, and perhaps an place to eat. I have not had food since I got the train here.” he said.

Joey smiled “Well there’s a place called the The Grill, they have nice food I guess” He shrugged “Then we can go to the library”

Graphua nodded slightly, “Thank you.” he quickly stepped inside and checked in, leaving his case and rucksack behind the desk he only took his phone, wallet and Lexicon with him. He emerged soon after and greeted Joey again, his book cradled under his arm.

Joey smiled as Graphua returned “Hey..” He muttered with a little nod “So where do ya want to go? Anything you need in particular?”

“Oh no offence taken.” he said smoothly, “Yes, I suppose I should.” he paused for a moment, “Would you mind waiting for a moment, I would greatly appreciate you showing me around this place should you have no objections?” he asked.

Joey raised a brow and shrugged “I guess so...” He muttered before leaning against the building “I’ll be here when you get back”

“I read myself a story before bed every night and don’t consider it childish.” he smiled, “And sleep as with all things is to be taken as needed. He ran a hand through his hair. 

Joey chuckled “No offence was intended” He muttered as he looked over Graphua “Um...So..You should go get checked in”
