*Urgent Help Needed for ASAP Medical Care and Basics!*
Hello Tumblr-ers, Spnfamily, Whovians, all lovely people here!
I haven’t been around lately, sorry- my health has gotten worse. Part of my brain collapsed, in a complication of a neurological condition, a little over a year go. It’s been all up and down since (affecting vision, balance, vestibular, motor, cognitive, etc, now seizures too- above is a CSF leak around my shunt that happens). It’s getting worse- my brain is so physically compromised I can’t even take some helpful meds. I need tests and surgery, not covered by insurance…
I need your help. About $4,000 ASAP for medical tests and surgeries, and basics like food. I have nowhere left to turn. Details below… gofundme etc have fees, so I’ve re-opened my PayPal, [email protected] (click ‘send’,‘friends&family’ for no fee)…
Along with medical decline, insurance (medicare/medicaid, I’m on Disability) stopped covering some ongoing meds and services, a subsidy helping with household bills ended, and paratransit is requiring me to use mostly ADA taxis for all my doctors, which they only partly reimburse, months later (about $70/day in traffic). And no home health aid lately (more insurance snafu), so I’ve had to order things delivered. So it’s March 14, I have $55 left for the month- I can’t afford basics, or very urgent medical care I now need-
ASAP I need dynamic imaging and a intensive video EEG (an ambulatory one is above!)- to see if the damage, and a growing lesion and abnormal activity in left temporal lobe require more major brain surgery. Both are up-front copays (not billed) nonprofits can’t help. I also need my wisdom teeth out surgically- but now it needs to be done quickly, since it affects nerves throughout the skull. No oral surgeons here take medicare/medicaid. And I also need basics like toilet paper, cleaner, and food (above very little SNAP). These urgent tests, imaging, and surgery is $3900, the rest is for those basics.
