Just a friendly reminder that I would never have thought it was possible to go back and remake my previous work, uncovering lost art and forgotten gems along the way, if you hadn’t emboldened me. With this release, I didn’t think I would be grieving heartache or celebrating freedom or wearing my own mosaic broken heart on my sleeve. I’ve been happy in love for 7 years… and then, it hit me: I am also heartbroken. I am happy, free, confused, and lonely. I am remembering echos of the girl I was, and I miss her. My young adulthood has been disorienting, and I am heartbroken over who l was… even if she never comes back, I know that there are ways to remember her. This album isn’t just about lost romantic loves… I also see it as a way to grieve the loss of self-love and honor a coming of age.

It is so good to know that this masterpiece is Taylor’s. I am so proud of her, and I will always defend this album. Her voice is healing, and her smile says it all.
