I learned that I am not above anyone - but I’m not below them either.

I learned to not take bullshit from anyone.

I learned that I don’t always have to respond.

I learned that things won’t always go how I want them to go, no matter how hard I try to make them go according to plan.

I learned that there will always be a possibility of things going wrong and to always prepare for the worst.

I learned to put aside my expectations in order to not be upset by reality.

I learned to not be discouraged when the ones I love don’t look for me when they hurt me.

I learned to not cry when the ones I love don’t comfort me when I have problems.

I learned that it’s possible to be surrounded by loved ones and not feel loved.

I learned that I feel stronger when I don’t let my tears fall.

I learned that I’ll never be skinny enough, pale enough, or pretty enough.

I learned that crying solves nothing.

I learned that taking small naps helps the time pass by.

I learned that speaking out is different from being rude.

I learned to not talk about my problems to everyone.

I learned that putting walls up is o’kay.

I learned that I’m scared and that it’s o’kay to be scared.

I learned that I’m alone but that’s o’kay too.

I learned that I won’t always have someone’s shoulder to cry on but I’ll be o’kay.

Upset that people will get mad at you for getting worried for them.

Sad because it makes you feel like there’s no one that will truly understand you.
