Honestly, I felt a little bad for Kingpin. He willingly asked to join us, and he is one of the most normal looking person we fought. We gave a second chance to people like MODOK, Venom, Madame Hydra, lots of people that would be real bad (And some that attacked us A LOT), why did Kingpin not make the cut?

It’s headcanon time!

Janet is the selfie queen, obviously. But she took a selfie with literary everyone. She’s got a selfie with everyone they ever battled. She’s got a selfie with Fury. She even has a selfie with Amora, even though they don’t get like each other. (Well, it’s with Amora and Loki. They’re standing all together, looking like ethereal beings and glaring at each other while Loki glares at the camera. It’s very adorable. Tony uses it as his phone background.)

Being followed by Natasha is like a sign of respect.

Amora still doesn’t like the internet, but when she found out she could use it to share her beauty with the world she was delighted. She never takes her own photos. Sometimes she makes Peter Parker do it, but usually she just asks Loki. (In return, she follows him. She doesn’t bother following anyone else.)

Rewards for fighting Kingpin. Not sure what they’re for, maybe ranking people up?

A couple months ago, I downloaded TinyCo’s Marvel Avengers Academy on a whim, after seeing some friends in the comics world gush over how it reinvented characters like Iron Man and The Wasp. To my surprise, what I found was a free-to-play game that wasn’t just a compelling builder sim, it was a surprisingly funny and quick-witted exploration of Marvel’s popular heroes. 

HOLY SHIT THIS MOD IS ALIVE!

Yeah, the economic crisis hasn’t killed me off just yet. More importantly the episode dropped at a sensible time for me and Iron Fist is bae, so I can get to put up all the material for you and hopefully reduce the inbox crunch. So here goes!

There’s two major parts to this episode: the stuff to buy, and fighting Punisher.

STUFF TO BUY

In order of recommended progression:

1. Mobster Wasp Poster (From the Devil’s Due)

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY HELLCAT’S CAT IN ORDER TO UNLOCK THE EPISODE 3 STORE ITEMS. And really it’s better you don’t - y’all need them seals and katanas. However, you do need to get Hellcat in order to get Iron Fist.

These are the requirements for the poster:

The blue stuff, Pinstripe Material, is dropped from the Mission Board. Scarface fans, have some fun. ;)

NOTE: Since everything uses katanas (ugh), you’re better off buying all the necessary Episode 3 stuff first before blowing them on anything else.

2. Mobster Wasp Outfit (from Van Dyne’s)

As the little circle above the combat skills icon suggests, you’re better off getting the costume before Iron Fist - that way you unlock an extra fighter against Punisher. The requirements:

The fedoras are dropped by the Mobster Wasp Poster, and the spaghetti is dropped from the Mission Board.

3. The Rest of the Stuff in the Devil’s Due

Tbh, you can take your time on this, depending how low/high you are on seals and katanas. This is the stuff we have:

Among these, what is definitely needed is the Paper Lantern, which drops Meditation Beads for Iron Fist. The other two may be a Mr. Mysticat type deal - we’ll have to wait and find out.

4. Iron Fist

As previously posted, these are his requirements:

The Meditation Beads come from the Paper Lantern in the store, the Nunchucks are dropped by the mission board, and the Yoga Mats are dropped by fighting Punisher, which we’ll get to in a bit…

FIGHTING PUNISHER

Hey Frank, good to see ya. Though we don’t yet know what the deal with recruiting him is, here’s what you CAN do in the meantime, and that’s kick the shit out of him. Sorry, Frank, but I love Danny too.

Alright, there are three important things you should know before taking this on:

1. The material required as tokens for his fights is not antitoxins thank fuck Frozen Peas (don’t ask why, I’m assuming it’s a mashed potato reference), which are dropped by the Mission Board. You need one packet of peas per fighter - so that means if you’re sending Matt, Jessica and Loki, you need 3 packets of peas for that fight.

2. Punisher doesn’t stick to a specific type (Quick, Powerful or Toxic) - his type changes with every fight. It’s not yet known whether this change follows a random pattern or a set one, but until then just know that you’ll have to send a different team each time, so pull a Cap and train like hell! (And open all the scrolls.) What is really helpful in picking your team each time is the arrows near their icons which tell you if they’re strong or weak against his type - so choose wisely.

3. Punisher follows the Ronan/Red Skull/Mysterio/Venom method of streaks. For new players: if you fight Punisher on streak 1 as shown in the picture above and deal 2000 damage but everyone gets knocked out, he’ll retain 1456 health for 24 hours. If you finish him off within that timer, the streak moves on to 2 and the timer resets for the new fight. But if you don’t finish within the timer on any streak, you’re reset to streak 1 and you have to start over.

And here are the rewards you earn on each streak:

Streak 1: 250 ninja stars, 3 katanas, 1 yoga mat Streak 2: 300 ninja stars, 4 katanas, 2 yoga mats Streak 3: 350 ninja stars, 5 katanas, 5 yoga mats (and thus, Iron Fist. Based on past experience, I’d advise f2p to stop here) Streak 4: 400 ninja stars, 6 katanas Streak 5: 450 ninja stars, 7 katanas, Iron Fist Bobblehead Streak 6: 500 ninja stars, 8 katanas Streak 7: 550 ninja stars, 9 katanas, Original Daredevil Costume (Google 1968 Daredevil costume. It’s hilarious.)

Also here’s something that might help you out

The max level for perks has been upped to 10, and there’s a new perk added to everyone’s combat skills (the one at the bottom):

This is called a Teamwork Skill, which increases the overall attack of the entire team by a certain percentage, starting with 150%. Basically, combine this with power attacks and make everyone OP as fuck.

There are two ways you can obtain the perks: by training, which uses the inside of Avengers Dorm for 6 hours for everyone, or dropped through scrolls.
