He was tired emotionally but that wouldn’t stop him from trying to get over it. Ryder slumped slightly and ran a hand through his hair only to let out a long sigh at the end of it. “Are you absolutely positive you would be okay with me doing whatever I’d want to it?” He questioned her with furrowed brows, Ryder had a wild imagination when he set his mind to it. He adored art, his body was filled with it so being given possible free range to do what he pleased would be something he greatly appreciated. “I think I’d like that, actually.” Ryder told her with a small smile.
With a shake of his head and a laugh, he understood how nearly every pregnant woman craved pickles. But he liked them himself so they’d most likely have to stock up when they went grocery shopping. “I know, and I missed you. As damn cheesy as I sound. It’s true.” He told her with a small nudge before exiting out and going to his car. The male put the boxes in the trunk before circling to open the door for the blonde. “My lady,” he attempted to say with a straight face then closing the door once she got it. “Let’s go eat. I’m starving.” He said before turning the car on and pulling out.
Fighting off heart break was something that was quite draining. Trying to handle a pregnancy on top of that wasn’t the easiest task in the entire world. But having friends around balanced it out, it made her feel better, a lot more comforted. She needed it, so Ryder coming to stay with her for a while was going to be nice for her. And hopefully it would be nice for him too. “I don’t mind what you do with it. I mean, as long as you aren’t knocking down walls, then you can do whatever you want. Go crazy with paint. Whatever you want.” She said.
She didn’t understand cravings or how they worked. All she knew was that she wanted pickles. All the time. and many other weird things. Like pizza without pizza sauce. “Its not cheesy, not at all. I missed you too, I’m glad we’re getting a chance to hang out.” She said. And now that he was going to be staying with her, they’d get to hang out a lot more often and she couldn’t wait. She let out a soft laugh as she got into the car. “Thank you.” Her eyes stayed on the road as he drove, “You know, when we went to the diner with our babies, that was my first time ever there.”
“Still George. I don’t think it has to be just for boys.”
“And if you were to have a second child?”

“You bought a house? Out of no where?” Reece laughed. “How big is it? I bet it’s a mansion.”
“No, not out of no where. I’ve been looking since I came back to New York.” She told him. “No, not a mansion.” She said. “Its pretty small, just a three bedroom house.”

Dallas blinked for a second before realizing who she was talking to. “Oh my gosh I’m so sorry. My mind is gone. This shift can’t end soon enough.” She quickly brought the drink to a different blonde before returning. “So tell me darling, how are things?”
She shook her head, “Its fine, really.” She said, leaning back in her chair slightly. Then looked back at her friend when she returned, “Their going. I mean preparing for a baby is a lot of work.”

He had no idea who he could end up with in the future but he was in no shape to find out now, or at least he didn’t think so. Sure he believed in destiny but he hated the hurt that came with it, getting hurt so many times beforehand just to find who you’re supposed to be looking for… is it really worth it? He had no damn clue. He gave the female a smile and he really did appreciate her offering him a place, besides he was a hell of a lot more comfortable being surrounded by her than anyone else. That he wasn’t afraid to admit to. “Then I can talk to her and we’ll arrange this, yeah?” He asked with a warm smile.
At this point he would probably throw himself into anything to try and lend a hand to her, knowing she would need a lot of help from whoever would offer it. “Definitely not. Jada has cravings for custard and pickles and that was pretty gross.” He pointed out with a shudder. “I know, I feel like this is the first time we actually get each other undivided attention.” Ryder said in response. “Now, let’s go feed the two of you. We’ll get ice cream afterwards.”
Life was full of heart break, not even just romantic heartbreak but heart break in all areas. She was sure that romantic heart break though was one of the hardest to go through. And here she was, her and one of her best friends, both going through it at the same time. She felt awful most of the time, and she knew he probably did too. But tonight, she could tell that her friend wasn’t going to let her feel awful, and she’d do the best to make sure he didn’t either. “Yeah, of course. Just let me know. I’ll keep that room empty for you and you can do whatever you please with it.” She promised.
She would be thankful for anything he did to help, but she’d make sure that he knew he didn’t need too. As Layla was her responsibility, not his or anyone elses. “Oh, pickles. Pickles are something I’ve been basically living off of.” She mentioned. She didn’t bring Jada’s name up again, as she didn’t want her friend to think of his ex and become upset. ‘It has been a while since we’ve really gotten to hang out.” Recently, she had been so busy with the baby, and before that, everything with her record deal, it had been hard to find time for her friends. “Lets go.” She grabbed her keys and locked the apartment door on the way out.
“She’s going to be surrounded by good people, she won’t turn out like that. Don’t worry.” Mason nodded and pushed the shopping cart to another section of the store. “There’s so many.” He commented as he looked at all the different types of bottles they had in one section. “What kind do you want or need? Does it matter?”
“I know she will. I just want to raise her right. To the best of my ability.” She mentioned, following in step with her friend. She looked at the bottle selection, wide-eyed, “Oh my. I wonder if it matters what type of bottle I get.” She said pulling her phone out, “I don’t even know if I’ll be breast feeding yet.”

All of his relationships had failed and he knew that maybe it wasn’t meant to be but it didn’t make it hurt any less, being someone who never liked showcasing his feelings or allowing people in, it was going to scar. But Ryder knew he couldn’t fake or put up walls around Avalynn because she’d know how to knock them down and she knew the real him. A long sigh left his mouth before he shrugged. “I kind of feel like I’m burdening her, plus I miss my art room.” He said with a small frown on his face. But he thought for a moment, he didn’t exactly want Avalynn going through everything alone so maybe it could work out. “It might not be such a bad idea..” He trailed off with a small smile.
He figured his friend would need a bunch of help when the baby came, she couldn’t possibly handle it all on her own for being a first time mother so how bad could it possibly be if he offered a hand. Ryder nodded his head and went to go pick them up before looking back at her, a laugh emitting from his mouth. “Cotton candy? I think I know where to go. But now, I drink cotton candy flavoured tea. I’m a judge free zone, Av. What do you say we swing by our diner?” He questioned curiously.
Ava knew that all relationships had to fail until you wound up with the person you were supposed to be with. That was how life worked, how it had to work. Obviously life had a different path then for her to end up with Chase, even if that was exactly what she wanted, exactly what she always thought would happen for her. It would just take time for her to end up with the person life wanted her with. She felt relieved when her friend said it might not be a bad idea. She figured he’d stay a month or two, but she was sure he’d want to be out before the baby was born. “You are more than welcome to come and stay with me. I mean, its a three bedroom house and I’ll have the extra room.” She mused.
She didn’t know how she was going to do it. This was her first time being a mother and of course she was going to have help from her dad, and her friends, but it was still scary. Having someone there to help her out ,even just for the end of her pregnancy was exactly what she needed. “Well, I’m really glad you won’t jude me and my weird cravings. Oh! Our diner, I honestly don’t think I’ve been there in over a year. I’d like that a lot.” She mentioned, “Plus, a burger and some fries sounds great.”

He hadn’t expected his relationship to fail but then again everything had felt so right about Mason but it took a turn, so he should not have been all too surprised about Jada. He was fairly new to dating, having been with about three people within the last few years since his juvenile days. Ryder desperately wanted a fresh start, he didn’t want to drown in his own thoughts every night but rather be able to smile and say that he was okay and mean it. At her question he paused before responding. “I am staying with Kenzie for a little while, it’s not long term because I don’t want to burden her but I really had nowhere else to go. It makes me sound like a little bit of a loser, doesn’t it?” He questioned with a frown on his face.
Ryder had to agree, it constantly felt like his stomach was churning every time he thought about Jada or Raeven, it killed him just a little; or it at least felt like it. But tonight they had bigger things to conquer and he was little forward to it, so he pulled her up off the floor gently and nodded at her words. “I can take the boxes, you just got to give me the new address we’re going to so I can get us there. But I think we deserve some treats. Don’t you?” He asked with a toothy smile. Sure it was getting dark but he wasn’t going to allow the night to end on a bad note with negative thoughts. So if he had to drive to the other side of Manhattan for whatever they desired then so be it. “Do you have any cravings anyways?”
Relationships are scary. It was weird to think that in a relationship, there was only two ways a relationship could possibly work. You were either going to be with this person forever, or you were going to end up breaking up. But there were so many better ways to break up with someone then the ways that Jada and Chase had gone about to do so with them. It was rough, and she knew Ryder was hurting in the same way she was. “No, that doesn’t sound like a loser. I mean, I was staying with Maxine, so I mean, I guess if that is the case, then I’m a loser too. I was going to ask if you wanted to stay with me until you found a place, but if you’re okay at Kenz, you don’t have too.” She told him.
Part of her hoped that he would come and stay with her. She knew that her new house was going to very lonely until the baby came along. It was a three bedroom house and she knew she needed something to do with that extra room, so why not have the comfort of a friend be around. She nodded, “That would be great. I just have a few boxes left, so they should be able to fit in your car.” She told him. She looked over at him, “You know hat I’ve been craving a lot lately? Anything cotton candy flavored.” She told him. “Cotton Candy snacks, Cotton Candy, Cotton Candy Ice cream. Thats weird, right?”
