It always got to this point. You were in the middle of a hot and heavy make out session, sandwiched between the sofa and Chris, his weight pinning you as he worked his magic against your mouth.

You could feel excitement and arousal blossoming below your belly, the heat seeping through your body and warming you right down to your fingertips. He normally kept his hands in ‘safe’ areas: your face and neck, hips and ribs, no where that would spike your anxiety. You were eternally grateful and considered yourself blessed beyond belief that he was understanding and patient, but the thing was, you knew in your heart that you wanted to go further now, but that your head was stopping you.

A/N: Y’all knew this was coming (pun unashamedly intended). This was inspired partially by a guy I heard on the radio who said Chris can give free mustache rides now, this post, and the fact that Chris has the ability to pull off a Tom Selleck style ‘stache like a fuckin’ pro. Also, Seb makes a very minor almost-appearance, and, I swear, if this nonnie or anyone like them tries to poop on my parade, imma cut you. 

Author’s Notes: Thanks to the encouragement of some of my lovely readers, I finally took the plunge and let myself write a ficlet set in the Lawyered verse. Lawyered is hosted over at @chrisevans-sexualfrustrations and you can read the whole story here.

This takes place in present day (specifically, on March 1, 2018). I’m not sure whether it is actually going to be canon in the Lawyered verse and show up in the story down the road. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

With ten minutes until curtain, silence lingered in the dressing room as Chris sat on the tiny sofa with no other company but his thoughts. His parents and siblings had cleared out twenty minutes ago with many words of encouragement and ‘break a leg’s prior to their departure, though there was one person whose absence he experienced acutely while he struggled to calm his nerves.

This goes with the Four Kids series you can find on my masterlist. It jumps back a bit in the timeline so comes after Just Like This and before Still Beautiful.

As you flung the sixth (or was it seventh?) dress down on to your carpet, you wanted to fling yourself down too but in your heavily pregnant state it wasn’t really possible. And you’d never get back up again. Instead, you sank wearily to your bed in your underwear and heels and out of the way of the full length mirror you were sick of looking in.

The garment bag containing Chris’ red carpet tux hung from the door to your ensuite bathroom and your heart plummeted. You were too hot, too flustered and the round ligament pain was really irritating you. Everyone kept saying ‘only a week to go’ but it felt like a lifetime and you knew, just knew, that this baby was going to be overdue. So it might only be a week until your due date but there was every chance you’d be still be cooking this kid for two weeks after that. You leaned backwards against the sheets, your legs dangling over the edge of the mattress and, feeling like a tortoise on an upturned shell, you knew at once it had been a mistake.

‘Shit,’ you whispered, knowing you weren’t going to be able to pull yourself back up, then, rubbing a hand across your impressive belly, quickly followed your cursing with, ‘Sorry baby, don’t listen to my bad words. Mommy just got herself stuck.’
