Summary: You are asked to help the Jedi council rescue your old friend, Obi-Wan, during the Clone Wars. You accept, but at what cost? You reunite with him, and maybe it was the right decision..

(Just so you know, thereâs a planet with new creatures in it and they actually exist in the Star Wars universe. I did try research for this haha đ)
Your eyes are closed, youâre in your bed, and itâs late at night. You were calmly sleeping until a sound at your window wakes you up. You are listening, trying to hear and understand what is happening without showing that youâre awake.
You hear voices whispering, two voices. You slowly move your hand under your pillow without making any noise. You quickly find your blaster for emergencies, and grip it.
They open a lightsaber, and you react instantly, you sit up and point your blaster at one of them. You only see the side of his face, illuminated by the blue light. The man is surprised, and quickly but his hands in the hair.
You open the light beside your bed with your blaster still pointing him. When you do, he turns his lightsaber off.
Heâs tall, brown hair with a scar on his face, and thereâs a girl. Sheâs probably a padawan.
âUh hi, we meant no harmâ The man says. You look at them in silence before responding.
âThen put the lightsabers down.â
They slowly put them on the floor before looking back at you.
âWho are you?â You ask, even tho you had an idea of who he was.
âIâm Anakin Skywalker, and this is my padawan Ahsoka Tanoâ You know this name, a great Jedi Master, is how everyone now describes him.
âAnd for what reason are you, Jedi, in my room?â Your blaster didnât move, your finger still ready to shoot.
âThe council asked us to come get you, Master Yoda, precisely. We need your help.â
Master Yoda, your memories are brought back.. Your old friend. Itâs been 15 years since the last time you saw him, as well as the other Jedi knights. You did remember Anakin, how could you forget? He was your best friendâs padawan, Obi-Wanâs padawan. He did grow up well, he seems more mature.
âGo on..â you say while lowering your blaster and putting it on your lap.
âYou probably remember Master Obi-Wan..â
Anakin start but waits for your reaction. You nod.
âHe got captured in a separatist prison.â The padawan add
Your breath catches, and Anakin probably sees the fear in your eyes, thatâs why he continues.
âWe need you, you are the one who knows the prison plans best.â You already know where he is, youâve been to that prison more than 20 times. Youâve been engaged to rescue people there before, and you would again for Obi-Wan, but..
âWhat? Why!â Ahsoka asks on the offensive, but Anakin asks her to calm down. You understand her reaction, because you would have done the same 15 years ago.
âIâve been assigned to a mission and I canât refuse it.â Itâs the main reason, just not the total truth.
âWe will give you three times the amount they're offering youâ You shake your head.
âYou donât understand, Iâm not doing it for the money.. If I donât do it, Iâm dead.â They look at you confused.
âWhat do you need to do?â
âI gotta help bounty hunters capture a very important creature. Iâm the most important person on the crew, I canât leave without a word, a mission that will probably change the utility of the group.â
âAnd who is that? âThe groupââ Anakin ask.
You sigh â The Hutts.. If I donât get the creature, they will send other bounty hunters to kill me and give them a prize if they do.â
âYou shouldnât worry about them, we will protect you.â
âAnakin. Theyâre the reason Iâm still alive, they could kill me whenever they want. They could be on the other side of the wall right now. I donât want Jedis around me day and night, that âwouldâ protect meâ
âAnd you prefer to leave a life that could end whenever they want? Donât underestimate us.â
âYeah, you do. But look, we need you, like really need you, and you need us. You wonât need to be guarded at all times, but we can set you up in the Coruscant skyscraper with the senators.â
âThey wonât try to kill you in this building, and if they do, they arenât going to succeedâ Ahsoka added after her Master.
Even tho you would have liked to think about it, you know that thereâs no time if you want to save Obi-Wan. What they offer you is what you wanted your whole life, safety. You can finally have it, and you will be able to help them. You need to put aside the other reason, your feelings. You just hope that theyâre right and that they will be able to protect you.
âWe need to go now. I will make a bagâ
They nod, and you get up to gather everything essential.
When youâre done, you put your bag on your shoulder and the three of you start to escape as quietly as possible. You get out by the window, the same way they got in ,and a little ship is waiting with a clone driving it. You quickly get in and the driver starts to fly away.
Itâs not long after that you feel like someone is following, and you were right because thereâs a ship flying over with a bounty hunter that youâve seen before. You donât even understand how they noticed that quickly.
âUh, we should maybe go a little faster!â Anakin and Ahsoka are looking behind.
âOh oh. Hawk go faster!â Anakin order.
He nod, and heads towards the sky. The bounty hunter is now shooting at you. The stress start to kick in, you regret leaving this place.
âStars, I shouldnât have done that.â You say under your breath.
Youâre finally high enough to go in hyperspace, so the driver quickly pushes the lever. You sigh, finally feeling safe for the first time in months. It won't last long tho.
You arrived at the temple on Coruscant and walked to the council chamber with Anakin and Ahsoka at your sides. Even tho youâre stressed, youâre still excited to see your old friends.
Anakin steps in first, and the voices stop slowly.
âMaster Anakin.â You remember this voice ,and it makes you smile before you even see him.
âMaster Yoda.â He responds. You enter the room and hear whispering. The Jedi knights are smiling and looking at you. You see it, his chair. Itâs empty, and you can already imagine him in it, he probably changed a lot since you last saw him.
âHappy, we are, to see that you are gonna help usâ Yoda start and some of the Jedi nod. You tilt your head slightly.
âI will do what I can, Master Yoda.â
âItâs been a long time, hasnât it?â
âHi, Mace Windu.â You say, containing a smile.
âThank you, Anakin, thank you, Ahsoka. We will now talk about the plan if you donât mindâ he continued.
Youâve spend a hour or two in the council chamber, and youâre ready for tomorrow, the big day.
Anakin brought you to your room, and he explained the security and the emergency device. Before he leaves, you want to talk a little bit.
âThank you for accepting to helpâ
âYou know that youâve changed, didnât you?â
âYouâre not the only one who likes to say it, Obi-Wan likes to tease me.â
âIt doesnât surprise me, but at least youâve seemed to change in a good way.â
âI did, Ahsoka is one of the main reasons.â
âI like her, sheâs as tempered as you when you were still Obi-wanâs padawan.â
âThe old days.. I will let you get settled in.â
âThank you, I will see you tomorrowâ he nods and leaves the room.
It was difficult for you to fall asleep, but you did sleep for a few hours.
Youâre waiting on the ship for the others to arrive. You wouldnât say that youâre excited, but you do want to see Obi-Wan, and maybe saving him would be nice too..
Anakin, Plo Koon and Ahsoka are coming with clones behind them to the ship.
âYou seem ready.â The young men say while stepping in.
âIâm always ready, itâs my way to start my missions.â
When everyone is in, the ship starts to fly away. This is where the fun begins.
Arrived at the planet that youâve seen more than you would have liked, you can already see the prison. Well, a part of the prison since the rest is underground. This place is a real labyrinth, but only for those you are with.
Everything is flat, there are no trees, no bushes, only a rocky ground almost smooth. Thatâs why itâs difficult to land with a ship, but you know a cave that will lead you close to the prison without being seen.
The ship stops at one point, so you will need to continue on foot. Everyone follows behind you outside of the cave. You are no longer covered, and thereâs radar almost everywhere, but they donât reach some little spaces that you will take to be able to walk to one of the ventilation ducts, without getting caught.
Youâre able to enter the prison system with the rest of the group. You walk slowly, crouching until you reach a corridor. You put the vent aside and step out with the others following. There are no droid, so you quickly start to move before they arrive.
The council told you which room Obi-Wan was in, so you just have to take the good turns to find him. Lucky for the Jedi, you remember everything.
You move without any sound, to the right, to the left.. Thereâs only a few turns left, and you will be in front of the door.
You need to go right, and..
Everyone freezes while you stop in front of a group of 5 droids.
âThatâs not normal, is it?â One of the droid ask, looking at the one in front.
âStop there.â He responds, pointing his blaster at you.
You hear lightsabers open behind you, and before any of you can act, one of the droid talk on his radio.
âThere are intruders in corridor 57!â
You shoot him in the head with your blaster, like it would erase the message. The others try to shoot you, but their blaster bolts are blocked by Anakin and Ashokaâs lightsabers.
You win the fight without losing anyone, but you need to find Obi-Wanâs room quickly. You start to run, and hope that they will follow.
When you finally arrive in the corridor, you find the door and put the code in. Everyone gathers around you, and the door finally opens.
Anakin enters quickly with his lightsaber in his hands, and you follow him.
You stop in your tracks. Obi-Wan is handcuffed using magnetic fields in mid-air. His head is dropped, and he looks exhausted. The men behind the system activate it, and it electrocutes him. He screams without much energy, and you canât stand to look at him.
Anakin attacks the men, and the clones kill the droids left in the room, not giving time for the enemies to react. Ahsoka breaks the handcuffs with her lightsaber, and Obi-Wan drop in yours and Anakinâs arms.
Your heart break in thousand of pieces, to see him so vulnerable.. He has aged, his beard is thicker, and heâs even prettier than he already was, even under these circumstances.
âWe need to go, now.â Plo Koon order, and you agree.
You start walking with his arm on your shoulders and the other on Anakinâs shoulders. He starts to regain consciousness, but canât walk correctly as you exit the room.
As you expected, droids are surrounding you, but the clones try to create a path. After a few minutes, it seems like they killed them all and you finally have the time to think about the way to get out.
âAnakin..â you hear, and when you look at Obi-Wan, you see him look at his friend. Then, his head turns to his left, and he frowns before looking at you in surprise. You give him a little smile, and he locks his exhausted eyes with yours.
âWh- What are you doing.. here?â He mumbles.
âWe will talk later if you donât mind, we still need to get you out of here alive.â He doesnât argue and finally uses his legs, with your help.
The three of you are the first in the front, and as you turn the corner, you get knocked on the ground. The two men fall as well while a droid points his blaster at your head. You freeze, feeling your heart beat faster than normal and your body getting hotter. You donât have time to react before he gets thrown against the wall.
You look around, surprised but clearly relieved, and you can see Obi-Wanâs hand lifted. He used his force with the little energy he had left to defend you.
âThank you.â You say while picking him back up and start to walk away. He mumbles something incoherent, but it makes you smile ridiculously.
You finally reach the ventilation duct you came in and enter it to finally get out of this place.
Coming out of the vent, you walk as fast as possible with Obi-Wan in your, and Anakinâs arms, to the cave. When you all reach the ship, the pilot begins to drive away from the hole and into the sky. As you thought, ships are coming at you from the prison, and shooting.
You just need to reach the Republic cruiser, and you will be able to go into hyperspace. Small spaceships are coming from the other way to shoot at the enemies. You pass through and finally enter the shed.
The main ship doesnât waste time, and as soon as the others are in, he leaves in hyperspace.
During this time, you and Anakin brought Obi-Wan to the treatment room. You let him lie down on the bed while waiting for the services.
âI need to do the report to Master Yoda. Can I let you take care of him?â Anakin asks.
âYes, donât worry. I will stay by his side.â
Anakin nods and exits the room, letting you sit beside the bed in silence. You look around but feel his eyes on you.
« Itâs.. been a while. » Obi-Wan mutters.
« It has. » You force yourself not to look at him.
He always had these eyes.. Theyâre all you can look at when you lock eyes with him, and now was not the moment. He didnât lets you the choice, you felt his fingers on your arm. They stayed there for a moment, but started moving up and down when he didnât manage to get your attention. Thatâs the reason you didnât want to come..
« Obi-Wan. » You finally look into his blue eyes, and a big smile appears on his face.
« I have a question. »
« Why did you appear after all these years. » His smile faded slowly, and he is now focused on you. You look down at your lap.
« I.. I had a dangerous life on Nal Hutta. I couldnât leave my job. »
« But you did. Didnât you? » he ask confused.
« I did.. Anakin and Ahsoka came to me for my help. I accepted because they offered me something I didnât have in.. 15 years. »
« Freedom and security.. »
It was something you and he were looking forward to when you were younger. Even young kids would think about that. It was the principal worry for most of the people in the galaxy, and you knew it.
« I thought that I would be safe my whole life after being at your side, and the Jedi sideâs, but I was wrong. »
« It- » He got cut off by the door opening. A lady came in and greeted us with a nod of the head.
« Hi, General Kenobi, nice to see that youâre back. »
« Thanks, Doctor Scalder. »
« So, Ahsoka told me what happened. I will need you to put your sleeves up for me, please. » She said, back turned.
Obi-Wan didnât move and looked at you, asking for help. You got up and rolled his sleeves to his elbows softly. He thanked you with a quick smile before looking back at the Doctor.
« Are you new here? » She asked you before concentrating on the syringes near Obi-Wanâs arm.
« Uh, yes. » You respond while sitting back on the chair. You took the easy way, not feeling like explaining your story.
« Sheâs an old friend. » He add.
The Doctor nods in understatement. You look at the ground, the door, and lose yourself in your thoughts while the Doctor does her treatments on Obi-Wan.
A few minutes later, he was ready to go. He was in better shape and didnât need any help to walk out of the room. You followed behind.
« Itâs already late, Iâm gonna head back to my room. » You say, turning to the corridor on your right.
« Itâs.. hum, with the senators. » You feel ashamed, you can defend yourself, but you need that support. A break where you wonât be on your guard all the time.
« Well, youâre certainly being well looked after. » He says with a smile on his face.
You know heâs joking, but it doesnât make you less embarrassed. You respond with an awkward smile, and he seems to notice it.
« Hey, it was a joke. » He starts to walk slowly towards you, like youâre going to run away. He makes you look weak, or at least, thatâs what you think. You donât want that to change the way he sees you.
« I know. Goodnight Obi-Wan. » You donât let him respond, and you walk away.
When you enter your room, you donât even bother to open the light. You just get changed and go to bed as soon as possible.
You get woken up by the sound of breaking glass and movement at your feet. It's still dark outside when you sit up quickly, stressed.
You can slightly see two figures fighting, before the door of your room is opened. One of the shadows runs toward the window overlooking the city.
He lunges forward, passing right through, and leaps into the void. You stand frozen, but see the second figure start running toward the window.
« Anakin, no! » The one at the door, Obi-Wan, that you recognize by his voice, yells.
Anakin stops at the glass and watch him go away in silence.
You're being blinded by the overhead light that's turned on. You try to put a hand in front of your eyes before they get used to it. When you put it down, you see Anakin and Obi-Wan looking at you from opposite sides of your room.
« I should have gone after him. » Anakin says, still looking outside.
« After who? » you ask, having an idea.
« We would have known if I had chased him. » He responds.
« Anakin, calm down. » his old master ask him.
Your question is ignored while the two men look at the damage in silence.
« I asked a question. What happened? » Your tone brought Obi-Wanâs eyes to yours.
« Someone tried to kill you. Anakin was passing by and heard noises. » You hear the concern in his voice.
You look at the young Jedi, then at the shards of glass, the overturned table, and all the mess around you. It was the second night, and they had already tried to get back to you. You were so tired that you didnât even hear him come in or the fight.
You get up from your bed and walk out of your room.
« What are you doing? » Obi-Wan asks, while the two follow you.
« Iâm going to make myself a tea. »
« Do you have an idea of who it was? » Anakin asks.
« Who? » He responds quickly.
« You're dying to exact your revenge, but it won't get you anywhere, Anakin. » you say, and he stays silent. You still want the bounty hunter to pay, so you tell him.
« Itâs Greedo, you could see his little mouth and his big ears, even in the dark. »
« You will need to change rooms and have more security. » Obi-Wan says without letting you a choice.
« Excuse me, but no. »
« What do you mean no. Look, weâre not here to show who is the strongest, it's your life that's in danger. » he says back. His eyes are furious but hide something, fear. He grew so much stronger and imposing.
« Iâm going to the council, if you guys donât mind. » Anakin says, and you shake your head in response.
« Look, I know you want to defend me, but Iâm not twelve anymore. » You tell Obi-Wan. He shooke his head slowly.
« Are you hearing yourself? You sound like a toddler. I donât want to lose you again. I- I mean itâs been difficult to live without my best friend for the last few years. » Your heart wants to shatter, but you take a deep breath.
« I know how to defend myself, I just donât want someone in my room while Iâm asleep, or when Iâm going to the bathroom. I need privacy, Obi-Wan. »
« You can have privacy, you will have clones outside of the door, thatâs all. Maybe a droid, but you will have all the privacy you need. »
You sigh and shake your head.
« You donât understand.. » you say, lowering your head.
« Okay, what if we stay in the same room? I could give you privacy while being in the room, itâs not the first time weâve slept in the same bed anyway. » You look back up.
« Do you think itâs better?» he continues.
« Well, yes, but-» You say without thinking, but itâs not, actually. Your feelings are about to get tested.
« Perfect, then weâve got a deal. »
« But you canât stay at my side all the time, youâre a General. »
« No, but you will be watched when you wonât be in your room. And I will do the same, but when youâre in the room. »
« And how long will it last..? »
« The time it will take. »
This time he just walked away, not letting you time to argue. Youâre not satisfied, but heâs the only one that you really trust at 100%. It will be like the old days.. like the sleepovers you had when you were young.
You did make your tea and didnât feel tired, so you just stayed awake until the sun and the temple woke up. Obi-Wan and Anakin didnât leave the council room since Greedo broke in. You also had time to think about what happened.
You know the Hutts, you know most of the bounty hunters, and you know that they won't let go as long as you're still alive. You need to do something, maybe destroy their reputation, do something so that there is no more money to pay the bounty hunters.. or you could retrieve the creature they so desperately needed.
You go into the library, on one of the computers, to search about the subject. You only heard the name of the species, the Neti.
Their species is nearly extinct, and yet a villager on the planet Myrkr thought he glimpsed a young Neti. You reed about it, it says that it only needs sunlight and a little water to survive and nourish itself. This species can transform into a tree to achieve great longevity and possesses a profound connection to the Force.
The most important thing: At the moment of their departure, they project an immense amount of force and light capable of annihilating all the dark forces on the planet.
You finally understand why the mission was so important. They could use his force all his life until the last moment, and even threatened the Sith with death.
You only realize that you almost kidnapped a child to give him a horrible life with the Hutts. You know that everywhere he will be, he's going to get attacked and cut down, but you can't let the Hutts seize it.
You get up from your chair and head toward the council room. When you arrive at the door, you hear muffled voices that suddenly stop.
« Open the door, we should. » is the only thing youâre able to understand before it opens.
All of the Generals are around a table with a projection at the center. They are turned to you, and you lock eyes with Obi-Wan, who looks at you, confused.
« A problem, there is, my old friend. » Yoda probably sensed it, so you nod while walking inside.
« Sorry to interrupt, but I need your help, Master Yoda»
« Uh.. I would like to talk in private. »
« Tell everyone, you should. » Everyone else stays in silence.
« Um.. as most of you know, I was asked by the Hutts to « kidnap » a creature from his planet. » You start, while some of the Jedi nod in approval.Â
« I did my research after the incident in my room, and I found out why they are trying to make it their own. »
You start to walk around with your eyes on the ground.
« Itâs a Neti. » Yoda makes a sound, he knows who they are.
« extinct, they should be. »
« I know, but someone saw this creature in the forest. He was probably in hibernation, thatâs why we didnât hear of it for a while. »
« We shouldnât let the Hutts take him, or it will be dangerous for all of us. » Anakin proposes.
« Thatâs why I came here to talk. If we bring him here, heâs going to attract dozens of bounty hunters. » You add.
« Bring him here, we will propose him. » Yoda order.
« But Master Yoda, it will not only be dangerous for him but also for all of us, and heâs too young to make a choice.» Mace Windu contradicts.
« If he wants, a Jedi, he will become. Defend himself, he will learn. » Mace Windu doesnât seem happy with the decision, while some of the generals nod in approval.
« We should find him as quickly as possible. » Obi-Wan suggests.
« The two of you, you will go » Yoda orders, referring to you and Obi-Wan.
« I will prepare the ship. » General Kenobi says while walking out of the room.
« Thank you, Master Yoda. » You add before following your friend.
You join Obi-Wan on the ship and fly away with 2 clones quickly after. You didnât have any plan, which is surprising considering that youâre working with Obi-Wan. Heâs the type to never leave without at least two different plans.
« Maybe we should make a plan. » You suggest.
« Sure, but we donât even know where to find him. »
« I do, itâs around Hyllyard City. » You activate a projection of the planet on the table in front of you, and point it to Obi-Wan.
« Right, and what does he look like? »
« I couldn't find a photo of the younglings, but the older ones have tentacles instead of hair. Iâm pretty sure that weâll know when we see it. » He sighs, not really sure of that.
You got ready by the time you got there, blasters, Obi-Wanâs lightsaber, water.
The ship arrived in the atmosphere of Myrkr and got closer to the city. Thereâs not a lot of population on this planet, most of it being forests.
The clones placed the ship on the ground to let you out before flying away, like they were told to.
« Well, letâs start the research. » You say as you head towards the town. Several clay turrets are positioned within the town, along with a few rectangular houses.
A few residents stick their heads out, intrigued, while others lock their doors.
It doesnât take long before a men walk to you.
« Hello, Iâm Talon. » He says, offering his hand.
« Obi-Wan » he responded, shaking it.
« Are you the bounty hunters coming for the creature. »
Obi-Wan freezes, but you canât look suspicious, so you respond quickly.
« We are, sorry for the delay. »
« No problem, as long as the deal still stands. » Talon responds with a little laugh.
« Of course! » You donât know what it is, but you also donât have the time to deal with it.
« So, one of the villagers saw it in a cave not far from here. » He start while walking away for you to follow.
« We didnât see it after that, but we didnât want to take the risk and go see inside. We're not chicken, but we still don't want to scare him off! Hahaha! »
« Of course, of course. » you laugh to be polite. You take a look at Obi-Wan behind you, who looks around the city, suspicious.
« There it is. » Talon says, stopping in front of a big dark cave. A lot of big trees surround the cave, except one, which is two times smaller.
« Well, it is a big cave for a small creature. »
« Right, but not so big for a creature with that much power! » he responded.
« Anyway, I should maybe stay here to make sure that you come out alive.. »
« Oh Iâm sure we will, sir. It will take a lot of time, you know. » You respond.
«Yeah, youâre right. Just let me know when youâre finished! » he says, walking away.
You wait in silence until you canât see him anymore in the forest.
« We should go. » Obi-Wan suggests, while starting to walk into the cave with a flashlight.
« isnât it weird for a creature that needs light to survive to live in a cave? » You ask.
« It is, but maybe heâs different. » Obi-Wan says, what a dumb response..
You walk for a while before finally finding an open area. Itâs pretty dark, so you open your flashlight as well. You put it on the ceiling, the wall, the ground, and..
You freeze on something, a.. boot?
« Stop where you are! Give us the weapons. » A voice scream and you flinch.
Flashlights open around you, and you see 5 people, pointing guns at you. Your back touches Obi-Wanâs as youâre moving backwards.Â
« Now! » A man with short hair orders. You do as he asks, putting your blasters in his hands. Obi-Wan does the same with his lightsaber.
« We will slowly walk outside, okay? » The same guy asks with a smile. He points his gun at your back as you start to walk back to the entrance of the cave.
When you finally reach it, you see Talon with a woman standing outside. The man makes you stop in front of them.
« I heard about you, my friend. » Talon says, locking eyes with you.
« Jabba was right, you took refuge with the Jedi like a coward. » He added, looking Obi-Wan up and down.
« And you really thought that he would make, whatever the deal is, with you? Idiot. »
He looks at you furious and you can see that he wants to hit you so bad. You see Obi-Wan putting his arm in front of you, protecting you. He doesnât need to because the woman stops Talon before he tries anything, but you still feel protected with him.
« He will be really happy to have the two of you anyway. Handcuffs them. » she says to one of the men.
He walks to you, and you try to defend yourself. Then, you hear a big noise, like a tree falling.
Everyone starts to look around, and you finally see it. The little tree you saw earlier was falling on Talon. He wasnât the only one, bigger started to fall on everyone, except you and Obi-Wan, weirdly. You take the chance to get your blasters and his lightsaber left on the ground.
You suddenly hear a faint cry, like one of a small creature, and then you see a head emerge from among the trees that have toppled to the ground.
Itâs a grey head with tentacles around its face. It has a wide mouth forming a smile and hands in the air with large claws at the tips of the fingers.
« Itâs him! » You say, looking at Obi-Wan before walking to the creature. It doesnât seem afraid of you, on the contrary, it is starting to move towards you.
« Hey, we donât know if heâs dangerous. »
« He is adorable, and why would he save us to kill us after? » Obi-Wan sighs in response.
You stop in front of the creature and put yourself on his level.
« Hello, whatâs your name, little boy? »
He looks you straight in the eyes but says nothing. There is a silence.. Maybe he doesnât understand?
« Hi Lee Drus, I wish we had more time to talk, but my friend, Obi-Wan, and I are here to rescue you. »
« Thereâs nothing to be worried about here, thereâs only calm and prosperity in this forest. Your concern is appreciated, but unnecessary.»
« Uh.. wow » You say, turning back to Obi-Wan, who is as surprised as you.
« How did he talk so well? Isnât he super young? » You shrug your shoulders and look back at the boy.
« Look, I love the way you think, but we need to bring you to the Jedi temple, if you want, of course, but weâre not the only ones looking for you.â
« We canât be safer, my friend. What happened here wonât change the climate of this place. » He doesnât seem to care, so Obi-Wan tries something else.
« Lee Drus, look through the force. I transport the force of many Jedis with me. They asked us to come get you in person. »
« You are a great presence. The force circulates in your veins in a state of great equilibrium. I sense a massive amount of possibilities in this moment. »
« Youâre right, there are multiple possibilities, and the only good one is to come with us. Please.. »
« You seem to have forgotten the choice. It is an invitation to your opinion. You also donât need to tell me more. My decision is made, I will take this path with you, my friends. »
« Perfect! Obi, please call the clones, we really need to go now. » he froze for a moment before nodding and calling them. You realize how you called him. You are so stressed that you start to lose your mind and let your feelings out.
Feelings that shouldnât appear, they shouldnât exist in the first place, but you couldnât help but create them when you were young. Anyway, thereâs no time for this.
You start to run with Lee Drusâs hand in yours and Obi-Wan next to you. Thanks God the creature was there, it seems like he afraid them for good, cowards.
« The path will be difficult! » Lee Drus tries to say while running, and youâre confused, but continue.
Obi-Wan suddenly stops in front of you and puts his lightsaber out.
« Whatâs going on? » you ask, looking in front of him and seeing a wolf with his teeth showing. This black creature is actually terrifying.
« These creatures, filled with darkness, hunt Jedi, their primary targets. They occupy a big space, but can also be dangerous with users of the force. We call them Vornskr »
« Interesting, Lee Drus, but could you stop being a dictionary for a minute, please. » He seems offended, but you hear Obi-Wan chuckle at your joke in front of you.
The big creatures with dark eyes circle the three of you, ready to attack.
« Actually, I would like to know how to kill him » Obi-Wan asks the boy.
« Theyâre never in trouble alone. Before letting any action happen, the blasters will be useful. Be careful with his poisonous tail and cut it if you have the chance. â
« Did he just say that theyâre not alone? » You ask the Jedi.
Another creature appears before he has time to respond, and now the two are walking in circles.
« He also said to use blasters before they attack, so Iâll leave the honor to you. » Obi-Wan answer.
You put your blaster out and point it at one of the creatures. He seems to understand because he prepares himself to jump on you, but you shoot before he does. He falls to the ground with a cry, and it attracts the attention of the other one, who wants revenge. You quickly shoot him to put him down, but neither are finished.
The first one gets up slowly and runs to Obi-Wan. He put his lightsaber in front of him and shifted aside as soon as the wolf pounced on him. He cut his tail at the same time, who was really close to his face.
The wolf screams and runs off into the forest. The other one isnât brave enough, sawing what will happen to him and running off as well.
« We should go now! » You say, taking the hand of Lee Drus in yours and running in the opposite direction. Not long after, the ship came from the sky in front of you and was placed on the ground by the clones. You help the boy get in before jumping as well, with Obi-Wan behind.
Youâre taking off, letting no time for the villagers to stop you, and quickly leave the atmosphere of this planet. Lee Drus takes a last look before you close the door.
You take the handle hanging from the sealing and look at Obi-Wan. You get distracted by him replacing a piece of hair with his hand. Your heart is racing, and your head is full of strange thoughts, but you shake them away.
You decide to learn a little bit more about the little boy who tells you that he is 12 years old, on the ride back to Coruscant.
As soon as you arrived at the temple, you and Obi-Wan guided him to the council room, where Master Yoda asked to meet him.
When he entered the room, he looked around, intrigued, like he did for most of the way there.
« Happy to receive you, I am. » Master Yoda says, appearing in the room.
« What a pleasure it is to learn about this wonderful community, Master Yoda. » Lee Drus responds, lowering his head in gratitude.
« Already very wise, you are. On a great path, you will lead your surroundings. Learn more about you, I would like. » Yoda proposes while gesturing for him to follow him.
You and Obi-Wan watch them walk away.
« So, does the deal still stand? » He asks, with an amused smile.
Youâre faking a laugh while punching his shoulder and walking back to the door.
« No, but for real because Iâm actually tired. »
« Show me your room then. »
You stop at your old room to pick up some clothes and take a shower. Obi-Wan went to his own room to shower and gave you the number of the room.
When you enter, you are surprised by the size, being smaller than your room. Itâs darker, with the little light the sun offers and the dark-colored sheets. It's organized and contains a few stacked bins in a corner of the bedroom.
He sits on the chair in front of his desk, looking at his holoprojector. Heâs shirtless, with a towel around his waist and droplets falling from his hair onto his shoulders. His biceps contract when he leans on his elbows, and you cannot tear your eyes away.
You shouldnât feel like this. You were right, your feelings are getting tested, but you should be stronger and not let them show. The problem is that you canât stop this feeling in your stomach..
« I thought it would be bigger, like the one for the senators. » You say it so you don't look crazy watching him.
« I donât need that much room. Iâm happy with this one, even if people think Iâm crazy. » He says, turning to you. Oh, he doesnât know what being crazy is.
You lock eyes with his, and youâre almost frying on the spot. Why are they so blue and calm and attractive..
« I understand, itâs easier to keep it clean. » You respond, trying to keep your gaze away from his eyes and his chest while he nods.
« Iâm going to go to sleep, Do you have a preferred side? »
« Uh, this one. » He points to the right side, so you go to the left one.
« Iâm just brushing my teeth, and I will join you. »
« Good » You get under the cover and immediately smell his scent. Youâre surrounded by it, and it brings back memories. A dumb smile appears on your lips.
One time, when there was a ball at your temple organized for the end of the year, the guy you were supposed to come with let you down at the last moment. You went anyway and saw him that night with another girl, a beautiful girl.
After the night, you waited for Obi-Wan outside the temple. When he arrived, he had a bouquet of your favourite flowers. You almost cried and gave him the biggest hug youâve ever given. He had that same scent, where you feel safe and calm, the best feeling ever.
You are almost falling asleep, only with the smell, but he brings you back to reality. He stepped out of the bathroom in a large shirt, and his long brown pants.
« I hope you donât snore. » You tell Obi-Wan as he gets in bed.
« Depends on who I sleep with. » He says with a smile.
« Donât say it like that! »
« What do you mean? »
« It sounds like weâre having sex. » He laughs for the first time since you saw him again, and oh.. Itâs even better than it was 15 years ago.
« Well.. » He jokes with a knowing smile.
« Stop-» The two of you laugh as he lies down and turns off the light next to him.
The light of the city shines through the blinds, and you look around his room while listening to him breathing. Your eyes close slowly, and you donât try to fight it. You fall asleep quickly in Obi-Wanâs bed sheets.
You take in a huge breath of air as you sit up in bed and look around you. Your breathing slows down, but youâre hot.
« Mm.. what happened? » you hear Obi-Wanâs voice on your right.
You look at him, getting on an elbow. He looks at you with sleepy eyes, and a strand of hair falls in front of his face.
« I- I had a nightmare, sorry. » You look back in front of you, remembering the images..
« It must have been bad, do you want to talk about it? » You look at him and, for a moment, the images are replaced by him. You calm yourself before looking away from his eyes.
« Uh.. I donât know. I donât think itâs important. » He watch you in silence for a second.
« Look, we will talk about it in the morning, okay? » Heâs almost falling back asleep while talking.
« Yeah, right. » You respond, lying back down with your back facing him.
You canât fall back asleep right after, as the memories are brought back. It was strange, and you have a really bad feeling about it. You canât help but turn around, and around in the bed, trying to stop them, stop your thoughts about âwhat if?â.
You turn back to face Obi-Wan, maybe it will erase the thoughts. It doesnât work at all, so youâre about to turn on your back, but feel a hand on your hip. You freeze for a moment.
« Stop moving.. please. » You hear his raspy voice.
Youâre hesitating at first, but you slowly move closer to him until your side is close to his. He brings you even closer, until your head rest on his chest. He feel his beard in your hair while he wraps his legs around yours, preventing you from moving.
You take a big breath before letting it out and finally relaxing. Your thoughts about the nightmare disappear in the instant, which is strange, but youâre not going to complain. Itâs way easier to fall asleep, and you do, in approximately five seconds.
You open your eyes slowly. Obi-Wanâs scent still accompanies you, but heâs not at your side anymore. You feel the cold sheets and sigh, heâs an early bird. It doesnât take long before you remember the night, and not only the cuddle part, but also the nightmare.
You get up and decide to take a shower, maybe it will help. You walk around the temple afterward and meet Anakin. He smiled softly at you while slowing down.
âHey, how was your night? With Obi-Wan..â He winks at you, and you roll your eyes with a smile.
âNot bad, at least he didnât snore.â
âWhat!? He always does with me.â You laugh at him.
âI guess he was right, depends on who he sleeps with.â He rolls his eyes in response.
âActually, do you know where he is?â You ask him before he walk away.
âhuh i think heâs in the hangar number 4, if Iâm right.â
âOkay, thank you!â You respond while walking away.
Arriving at the hangar, you look around. There are clones scattered around ships, some repair them and others fill them. You finally find Obi-Wan rubbing his chin like he always does, and talking to a blond clone. You make your way to him and hear them discuss about a mission.
When you get close, Obi-Wan raises his head and locks eyes with you. A sweet smile appears on his face has he crosses his arms.
âGive me a minute.â He ask to the clone before joining you without dropping his smile.
âHeyâ You respond with a growing smile.
âDid you sleep okay? After the nightmare.â
âDo you still want to talk about it?â You look at the ground.
âI- I have a question.â
â Is it possible for someone who has no contact with the force to have a.. vision?â you ask him shyly. You probably exaggerate, and you feel like a fool by asking.
He frowns and thinks for a second.
âNo.. I mean, you need the force to receive one. What makes you think it was a vision?â Heâs serious about it.
â I saw most of my old colleagues, the bounty hunters of Jabba the Hutt. They were attacking us. And there was this.. man? He was wearing a hood, so I didnât see well.â He stays in silence while looking in front of him. His smile disappeared a long time ago.
âThe only possible way is if the vision was passed on to you. You didnât see any Jedi in the vision?â You shake your head.
âCome with me, we should go ask Master Yoda. I need to go, Captain Rex!â He screams for the clone to hear, Rex responds with a nod.
You follow Obi-Wan, who walks faster than usual, to find Master Yoda. Heâs walking with Mace Windu and Lee Drus on each side. You watch the young boy, and a feeling inside you makes you stop dead in your tracks. Obi-Wan stops as well, looking back at you, confused.
You remember the nightmare, it brings you flashbacks. You furrow your eyebrows, trying to understand why it happened out of nowhere.
âWhat happened?â Obi-Wan asks you, looking around.
âI got flashbacks while seeing them.â
He knows something that you donât, and you know it by his face. So you ask him.
âUm, youâre sure none of them are in your vision?â
âIâm pretty certain that I didnât see them. Why?â
âWhen you receive a vision without seeing the messenger, you can discover it, among other ways, by getting a feel for it when you see him. Or getting flashbacks..â
Youâre confused. Why would one of them want you to see it? And why didnât you see him in the vision?
âMaybe we shouldnât go see them.â You say.
âI donât think itâs a good idea.â You continue, turning back around and walking away quickly.
âWait!â He yells your name while running to catch up with you.
âWhatâs the problem?â
âIt was probably a mistake, I should forget it and move on.â
Obi-Wan shakes his head while walking with you.
âItâs gonna happen if it was a vision, and there was a reason for you to see it.â
âAnd how do I know when itâs gonna happen?â
âWe need to stop it if what you say is right. We canât let them attack this place, Obi-Wan.â
âDo you know where it is?â He asks.
âI think itâs on Myrkr.. Where we found Lee Drus. I saw the trees, I only saw them there.â
You forced Obi-Wan and a few clones to come with you to the planet. No one else knows that youâre here, but itâs better this way.
You landed near the city you visited, but far enough not to get seen. You walk through the forest to join Hyllyard City and stay on your guard, just in case one of the wolves comes back.
A short while later, you hear the sound of rustling grass. You silently halt the group and watch the bush. A creature resembling a large salamander emerges from it, but it looks harmless and quickly runs off.
âWhat is the plan? It seems like we never have one when I work with you.â Obi-Wan concludes.
âWe donât know what is waiting for us, just stay together and donât draw attention.â
You respond for the 2 clones to hear.
âGreat plan.â He comments while rolling his eyes, but you ignore it.
You finally arrive at the main street and stay hidden between two buildings. Thereâs nothing unusual for the moment.
âWhere is the sheriff or whoever rules this city?â You look on the left and see a black Wookiee pointing his blaster at a civilian while a man with a big, round hat talks to the victim.
âEmbo..â Obi-Wan says next to your ear. Youâre surprised by the proximity, but itâs not the moment for these thoughts.
The man points to the bar with a shaking hand, and the two mans head towards it.
âI wonder what theyâre looking for..â One of the clone say.
You donât have time to respond before the same guy from last time, Talon, gets pushed out of the bar. The Wookiee and Embo exit after him. You feel Obi-Wanâs hand on your back, probably to steady himself, but he doesnât move it.
âSo, you probably heard about the Jedi creature, didnât you?â Embo asks while looking down at Talon. He nods with a scared look in his eyes.
âWe need to know if thereâs another one.â The man saw, pointing his crossbow down at Talon.
âThereâs only one, from what we knowâ He responds with a shaky voice.
âSo youâre of no help.â Embo concludes
âI am! I am. I can.. huh.. lead you where we found the first one!â The Wookiee accepts and makes him get up with his blaster. The three of them pass next to you and exit the city.
You slowly follow after them. âHey, what are you doing?â Obi-Wan asks.
âFollowing them. I want to see if thereâs more like Lee Drus.â
âYou wanna get killed, My lady?â He asks, following you anyway.
âItâs your job to protect me, isnât it?â He rolls his eyes with a little smile.
âUnfortunately..â He jokes.
The bounty hunters are being directed toward the forest, passing by the cave. They arrive at a river, at an open clearing in the forest, and finally stop.
âHow are we supposed to find them.â Embo asks.
âYou canât.. The last one was seen helping an animal, but itâs probably a coincidence.â Talon responds.
âWeâll see.â He says with his raspy voice.
âIs he gonna hurt an animal?â One of the clone whispers.
âWe canât let him.â You say.
âNo wait-â You donât let time for Obi-Wan to stop you. You walk to them, who have their backs turned and are looking through the forest.
âEmbo.. Itâs been a while.â He quickly turns around, surprised.
âStar, are you here to give yourself up?â He says, using the nickname the Hutts give you, as their star bounty hunter.
âIâm not that easy to get.â
âReally? I never understood why you were the precious one..â he responded, pointing his crossbow at your chest.
âLetâs put that down, Embo.â You hear Obi-Wan say while exiting the forest. You look around to see him walk to you with the two clonesâ blaster, pointing at Embo and the Wookiee.
âYou brought friends.â
âUm, since I show you where to find them, can I go?â Talon asks, not acting so tough anymore. By this time, Obi-Wan and the clones are by your side.
âYeah, yeah.â Embo responds without looking. Talon runs away back to the city.
âLet's try to bring both of them back, shouldn't we?â He asks his Wookiee friend.
âYouâre looking for something that isnât there, Embo.â
âYou heard that, BK?â The black haired creature responds with a sound.
âI would like to see that by myself, my little Star.â He continues.
âStop calling me that, Iâm not with the Hutts anymore.â
âOh, I know that, thatâs why I will bring you back to them.â You hear his cocky smile behind his respirator mask. He nods towards you while locking eyes with the Wookiee.
You slowly walk backwards, away from them. The tall creature takes your arm with his big hands and squeezes it while trying to pull you towards him.
You hear a lightsaber open and be positioned at your attacker's throat. âLet her go.â The Jedi order with a firm voice.
âYou know what? We should look for the creature first. It will bring us more money than this coward.â Embo says, referring to you.
The Wookiee nods while letting go of your arm and backing away.
âLet's go BK.â He continues while running towards the forest.
âWe need to follow them!â You say running after them.
You quickly lose them, so you stop. Obi-Wan and the clones join you not long after, out of breath. You try to see something while looking around,and you suddenly hear a cry from a creature.
âThey found an animal!â You run towards the sound and quickly see them. A big salamander, as you saw earlier, was on the ground with a cut on the stomach.
You quickly pull out your blaster and shoot at them. You miss, and they shoot back at you. The clones scatter around them, shooting. The forest fills with the sound of blaster fire. One of the clones is hit and slumps onto the carpet of grass.
Youâre able to shoot the Wookieeâs arm, but he doesnât seem affected. Obi-Wan jumps in the middle with his lightsaber, deflecting the shots of the two bounty hunters.
âStop this massacre.â A man exits from the forest, wearing a cloak with a hood. Thatâs the man in the vision!
âStop right here!â Embo says while pointing his crossbow at the tall man.
He, in response, lifts his arm. Suddenly, roots emerge from the ground and wrap around Embo's arm, forcing him to drop his weapon. You look at the man in shock, youâve never seen anyone do that.
âWho are you?â You ask.
âPâra Loonâ He responded while taking his hood off with his long, clawed hands. He reveals his gray and wrinkled face. He wears braids like Lee Drus and has no nose as well.
âYouâre a Neti!â You conclude, and he looks at you, calmly.
Embo, who probably never saw one, realizes. He picks his crossbow up and starts shouting at you. The last clone is taken by surprise and shot in the chest before toppling to the ground. On the other hand, BK the Wookiee runs to the Neti and tries to seize him. Pâra Loon doesnât react, so you point your blaster and shoot.
The Wookiee screams in pain and puts his hand on the wound, before falling on the ground. Embo stops shooting and looks at his friend, who doesnât get up, then at you, before running away into the forest. You donât go after him.
âAre you okay?â Obi-Wan asks, putting his hand on your arm.
âYes, donât worry.â You say with a comforting smile. He nods before turning his attention back to the clone on the ground.
âPâra Loon, we should bring you to the Jedi temple.â You say, walking toward him.
âBut, you canât stay here! Itâs too dangerous for you, like it was for Lee Drus.â
âYou are right, it was dangerous for him. The menace isnât something he could have stopped. Me, on the other hand, Iâm able to protect my environment.â
âMy little brother and I are where we should be, where the force wants us. You did what you had, and the forest thanks you ,and your friend, but itâs time for you to leave.â He continues. He does look like Lee Drus and you now understand why. He also seems like a powerful user of the force.
âOk then, but you should know that we are here if you ever need help. Don't hesitate to call us if there's a problem, please.â You respond.
âDonât worry, I wonât hesitate.â He says before putting his hood back on and turning around. He walks away and disappears through the woods.
You hear Obi-Wan sigh next to you. âWe should probably call the clones to pick us up.â He says.
âYouâre right, itâs getting lateâ
Youâre later getting picked up by the ship, and you fly back to Coruscant in silence, with Obi-Wan by your side, but no clones left.
Thereâs something about working with him. You feel protected in a way that you love, you know that he always asks for your opinion, even if you donât ask for his, and heâs always looking for you to see if youâre still there.
Heâs been your best friend since the beginning, and these years without him felt empty. You work, eat, sleep, work, eat- it was nothing but what you wanted. These last few days have been full of surprises, including work, but also something else, feelings.
You are looking at his eyes like you did before, with this hope that he is gonna stay with you forever. You are looking at his hands, the ones you want to feel on you and not only on your arm, but on your face, your hip, in your hair, everywhere.
When you arrive in his room, itâs already dark outside. You donât feel like taking a shower, and it seems like he doesnât either. You just sit on the corner of his bed while he closes the door slowly. He looks at you from where he is standing.
âAre you okay..? Itâs probably difficult after what happened.â He asks you with this kind voice. Heâs looking at you with gentle eyes and a concerned look.
âAre you thinking about the Wookiee?â You ask him, seeing the doubt in his eyes.
âObi.. my job was to kill people, back when I was working with the Hutts.. This one didnât affect me.â He doesnât seem convinced and sits next to you on the bed, without disconnecting his gaze from yours.
âIâm worried about you.â He responds, almost whispering.
âI- Youâre a new woman since the last time I saw you.â He says, putting his hand on your thigh carefully.
âYouâre right, I am a woman now. Iâm not this pure girl anymore, but itâs not a bad thing.â You put your hand on his, squeezing it.
âI discovered life, what I donât want and.. what I want.â
Heâs vulnerable, but he shows it. You know he wants to say something.
âYou were the most precious girl Iâve ever known, 15 years ago. I couldnât escape your comfort, I couldnât leave you alone, but when you took off.. I thought I would never see you again, and that was something I regretted, letting you go..â
âWhen I saw you in the prison, I.. Iâve never felt that way before. It was like the light inside me reappeared, like my life had a reason. These few days were the best Iâve ever had in 15 years.â
âObi, I chose to leave because I couldnât let myself get in the way of your training. Youâre a Jedi, you shouldnât have attachment with anyone. I didnât want to come back because of that, actually.â
He slowly put his gloved hand on your face, and you leaned into it. You feel the heat of his hand and close your eyes briefly.
âYouâve changed.. but in a good way. You are more yourself than youâve ever been, and Iâve never been more in love.â He responds.
You open your mouth, trying to say something, but your words catch in your throat. You take a big breath before putting your hand on his hand, resting on your face. You see his chest rising and falling quickly.
âI've loved you forever. I've never stopped thinking about you.â
He smiles, that soft smile that reaches his eyes and is completely honest. He looks at you in the eyes, then at your lips. You grab him by the collar and pull him closer, impatient.
You forget about everything you tried to stop, every feeling you tried to hide. He always was the one you were comparing others with, and it will never change.
Your lips connect with his. It takes a second before both of you realize and actually start kissing. He put his other hand on your neck, bringing you closer. His lips taste sweet and are softer than in your dreams.
He kissed you like heâs been waiting lifetimes for this exact moment.
It's slow, but passionate and gentle, different from how his life has treated him. It's like your lips were made for one another, and thereâs that feeling in your chest while you move your lips with his, love.
You catch your breath before starting again, like two magnets. Itâs your first kiss ever, but itâs with the one you always wished. It tastes ten times better than you wouldâve expected. Itâs perfect, warm, deep, and delicious in every way.
When you pull away, you feel like something was finally fixed. Like the missing piece in your life is finally placed, him.
âDidnât think I would say that, but thanks God I was put in this prison.â You laugh and see his eyes softening.
You yawn, and he chuckles.
âWe should probably go to bedâ He suggests.
âThatâs a great idea.â Even tho you didnât want to break the moment.
You take your coat off, and he does the same with his cloak before both of you get in the covers. You donât hesitate this time before cuddling his side. He put a hand on your back and on your head, scratching your back softly.
Youâve never been happier, it was something that you waited your whole life for without knowing. Before falling asleep, you confessed to him.
âQui-Gon knew something.â He doesnât move or talk for a moment.
âHe told you to leave?â You can hear the disappointment in his voice.
âNo. I chose that myself, but I knew that there would be consequences if I didnât. Not only on you, but on me too.â You didn't want to blame his master. You made the choice yourself, so he shouldnât hold a grudge against him.
âWhy didnât you talk to me?â
âI knew you wouldnât agree, but even tho I didnât have the best years of my life without you, I still learned a lot..â His chest rises and falls slowly while his chin rests on your head.
âI missed you, I missed the hangouts after my trainings, the late-night talks or the birthday parties.â He whispers.
âI missed having you in my life, Obi-Wan. Weâre older now, so letâs have fun without overdoing it, and love without getting caught.â He can feel him smile tiredly.
âYeah.. letâs do thisâ
