*She handed him a pink box, wrapped in a shiny violet ribbon that tied into a bow. Upon opening it, he'd find a new dark purple cloak. The material was soft, thicker than the one his current cloak was made of too. The collar was made of a super fluffy white fur, and the clip holding it together was a heart instead of his usual cube rune.*

I got it custom made! I didn't want you wandering around the island all winter with just your normal cloak, I kept getting worried you'd be too cold or get sick or something...

Huh- *He was just attempting to read a book he had "borrowed" from... well he wasn't going to say where he got it actually. But he closed it and turned to Ava. (It wasn't like he made much progress in it anyways...)*

What is that- *He tilted his head at the box as he took it. He looked up at Ava and noticed she just watched him expectantly. Was.. he supposed to open it? With the way she kept staring as he sat there in confusion, he assumed the answer was yes. So he opened it. Obviously not the best at opening things as he kind of just ripped the ribbon with his claws, but he opened it all without anything else ripping except the ribbon. He held up the soft purple cloak and looked at it briskly before placing it back on his lap and looking up at Ava, slightly flustered with his ears flattened to his head.*

That's really sweet of you- But is it really necessary? I.. don't need any gifts man.. Never have never will! I mean, you being here was a gift enough.

I'm not gonna say no to it though, I suppose. I'm just concerned how much it might've costed you. I.. don't think I was going to get sick out there though! I stay away from the snowed areas.. sometimes.

*He threw it on his shoulders, not wearing his other cloak at the time anyways.* But that's really kind of you, man.. I didn't realize this was a time of giving and it's.. suddenly making me feel very bad I hadn't gotten you anything- **I mean I could fix that later.. when she leaves I could go out-**

*She watched him expectantly, smiling the entire time in excitement. It was a little nerve-wracking waiting for him to finally open the gift, but all tension faded away when she saw him getting so flustered. She giggled, knowing for sure that he must have loved it.*

Oh c'mon, don't be ridiculous! You deserve gifts dear, and it's Winterfest! If I didn't get my boyfriend a gift for Winterfest, that would just be awful of me! Not saying that I felt obligated to or anything though..! I really did just wanna get you something nice...

Don't worry about the costs! I got it at a pretty steep discount, since a friend was kind enough to do it for me! Besides, it's better for you to have it just in case!

Headcanons!:

-Jones (or Jonesy) is gay and uses He/It pronouns

-This is a very oc-fied version of Jones, with a little snippets of an AU = The Chained Jones AU: What if Foundation had never saved him?

- His second form, known as Zeronesy, tends to make him behave a little bit differently, and he's somehow slightly more unstable. He's got different powers, pretty much all revolving around rifts and all that.
