to the girl after me: there are a few things you need to know…his favorite drink is sprite. he likes to play his video games and talk about them, so just pretend you know what he’s talking about. maybe play with him sometimes. he’ll enjoy it so much. he’s favorite color is red. he loves to eat steak, so take him to a steak place, he loves it. he loves his mustang, sometimes he will talk about it more than you, but he’s just proud of it. pay no attention. he still loves you more. he loves kisses. anywhere, anytime. he demands them really. he loves to show you how much he loves you. he’s really soft hearted. he has a big heart for animals and his mom, but not so much his step dad. sometimes they get into it and he’ll call you crying. he’ll want to talk about it, so sit there and listen. that is important to him. but when you need to vent, he is there to listen as well. he is a great listener. he loves to cuddle too. especially while he’s playing video games. he loves to hold you while you watch him play. he will also spoil you, so appreciate everything he buys. he will buy you whatever you want. he is very proud of his hair but not so much his weight. he has always been self conscious about it, but he has lost most of it he wanted to. he looks good. praise him for losing it but tell him he’s handsome anyway. he’ll love you for you. don’t let that go like i did. i tried so hard to get it back. don’t fuck up like me. don’t let that shit happen. take advantage of the time you spend with him and then call him whenever he leaves. love him as much as he loves you. he deserves it. thank you for taking care of my boy. -the girl who realized she lost the best thing that happened to her.

you're not okay. and it's okay to not be okay all the time. you're usually okay. but sometimes you're not. and that's okay. sometimes, you think about all the hours you spent with him, or look at all the pictures saved on your phone from months of memories. your wall will look empty where his picture used to hang. you will try not to let it show how much it killed you when you ran into him at the store or your guys favorite restaurant. your stomach will be so knotted from the thought of him actually being gone and you can't eat. your arms will feel as empty as your heart and you can't sleep. you've cried so long it feels like you won't ever stop. but it's temporary. one day, you'll wake up and not cry anymore. you will put a new picture up where his old one used to hang and your room won't look so empty. you won't worry about running into him and his new girlfriend at the store because you won't be missing him anymore. you will begin eating more and feeling less sick at your stomach. your heart will feel full again and you will be able to sleep again. you'll delete all the pictures of him off your phone and stop checking his social media. because you'll be okay. you'll get over this. you won't miss him your whole life, you've just missed him so long it seems like your normal now. but one more day you're sad is one more day closer to the end of your suffering and the day you're free
