Shen jiu loves ning yingying like a destructive mother. His neutrality is destructive why do you think his love is any different. I really see it as him willing to push her into despair, as long as that despair makes her act in a way that makes her less likely to be abused. And of course he would not see his own actions as abuse.
I think that people jump way too fast from the fact that he didn't sexually abuse her, to this idea that he must have been secretly really caring and kind. He is a deeply contradictory man, and he's an asshole. The fact he hangs false accusations on his neck like a pillory does that mean he's actually above reproach or free of sin. The fact that airplane wrote him as a one-dimensional villain does not mean that he was simply not a villain. He is a three-dimensional villain, he is a child abuser, he's all in all an unpleasant person, and I deeply enjoy him.
So yeah in summary I'm kind of tired of seeing him breastfeed people literally and metaphorically
