Back when we were waiting for ATSD to come out, I remember some acoustic demos for some of the songs making their way online. I used to have them downloaded and I listened to them a lot back then. I remember "Everything's Better With Perry", "Brand New Reality", and "Robot Riot" having demos; I think it was just those three.

I also remember hearing sneak peek versions of some of the songs that were close to the finalized versions, but had some alternate lyrics. One I remember was an early version of "Taking Care of Things", and I know the lyrics were different because it was originally written for a different show. I vaguely remember there being an alternate version of "Brand New Best Friend", but I can't remember what the changed lyrics would've been (this one might be a false memory).

Does anyone else remember any of this??? (And if so, does anyone still have any of the files? 🥺)

I remember those too! I remember like being in my eighth grade class and listening to the demos in my free time

I don’t know if they’re available anywhere, I don’t seem to see them on youtube but their search also sucks so maybe I’m missing them. Maybe I’ll investigate further, they’ve got to be somewhere

I remember when Across the Second Dimension first came out and how hyped I was for it. I kind of miss that

I miss writing but I'm so deathly afraid of getting the characters wrong (something I've always struggled a lot with) that it's made me feel completely frozen. Like I'm completely mentally blocked off from it.

I miss when I could just write some bullshit and people still liked it. It feels like nowadays people are way more hostile towards mischaracterization and I'm terrified of being the next person to get publicly put on blast.

I struggle A LOT with understanding characters' personalities and what they would do or say in a situation, and I wish I knew how to fix that about myself
