Aurora Bay

For the last few weeks your characters will have noticed preparations going on in town for summer and it seems like just about everyone is getting in on it! Sales in stores, specialty menus, the sounds of kids playing. Summer is in full force in Aurora Bay.

Here are some of the things you can expect to see at this year's carnival!

The Carnival:

Carnival rides: tilt-a-whirl, pendulum swing, carousel, drop tower, flying chairs, bumper cars, himalaya, roller coasters (both adult and kiddie ones), and of course the crowd-favorite ferris wheel!

Games: bottle ring toss, dunk tank (muses may volunteer!), longshot basketball, strongman, axe throwing, water gun races, balloon popping. Game stations like life-size Jenga, cornhole, twister, and video game stations will be hosted by Well Played! New this year as well will be flip cup competitions hosted by the Salty Siren Brewery

Attractions: pop up fun house, tarot card reading, fortune telling, face-painting, temporary tattoos, caricature booths, and various photobooths scattered throughout

Food stalls: Sea Shanty Shack, Sweet Spot Ice Cream Shop, Driftwood Coffee, Well Played Game Cafe, Fired Up Pizza will have stalls, as well as cotton candy stations, popcorn, pretzels, and other stalls with items such as lobster rolls, tacos, nachos, burgers, funnel cakes, fried oreos, pretzels, and corndogs! The Brewery will also have various beer carts around, along with cocktail and mocktail vendors as well!

Along with the above, we also have some new additions this year!

Paintball: Aurora Bay high school's football field has been transformed! With inflatable bunkers and targets scattered throughout, come have some fun with your friends and see who gets to leave with bragging rights! $10 per 100 paintballs and all money goes to the school.

Dog Days of Summer: Every morning come bring your dogs down to the beach! Free treats and toys will be available, and we'll also have dogs that are up for adoption from the shelter! You can volunteer as well to take a shelter dog on a long walk along the surf and give them some love and playtime and who knows, you may just meet your new furever friend!

Surf Lessons: Sponsored by Surf's Up, $10 surf lessons will be given out, and everyone who participates will be signed up for a surf competition at the end of the event! Winner gets $250 and their very own surfboard

July 4th:

As the town does every year, join us on the evening of the 4th for our huge firework show! Whether settled on the beach, having fun at the carnival, or even just up on a rooftop, there's no bad seats for this year's display.

Along with the firework show at night though, the day will be chock full of fun!

Firehouse BBQ: Hosted by Aurora Bay's firehouse, everyone is invited to come on down for some delicious food, a tour of the station, and to get some summer safety tips from AB's finest!

Sunset Drive-In: The drive in will be hosting a movie marathon all day of some classics like Top Gun, Forrest Gump, National Treasure, Saving Private Ryan, and, of course, Independence Day

Beach bonfire: There will be a beach bonfire as well in the evening with live music and an impeccable view for the fireworks show! All ages are welcome
