Nest of the Peryton

Alex has a weird gig going on during Legacy where she moves in next door to the boys and covertly watches them while healing from a major injury, and reports back what she learns to her superiors. Around halfway through Legacy, Alex's injuries have healed enough for her to function pretty normally, and she gets a prototype prosthetic eye from Tord.

I've also got drabbles of her opinions of the main cast + the red army folks going on as well, which I shall also provide here.

The formatting is very much inspired by @/upon-lavender-hills , I found it incredibly helpful in narrowing down what I wanted.

Alex toward herself: [Dislike, Frustration] “For everything I’ve done, and everything I am, I wonder anymore if I can call myself a person. I don't know if it's the shrapnel in my skull, or the unfamiliar face in the mirror, or if Tord did something with my eye, but something about me isn't what it was before.”

Alex toward Edd: [Indifference, Curiosity] “One of the neighbors. Used to be Tord’s roommate, he talks of him quite fondly. He appears to be an unofficial “leader” of the group, and can be rather mischievous. I wonder why Tord is so fond of him…”

Alex toward Matt: [Dislike, Irritation] “Ugh. That one. Edd’s roommate. Dumb as a doornail, obsessive over his own appearance and uncaring for others. He keeps calling me “Alice”, and seems to struggle with remembering anything. Despite my not liking him, there's something going on that just doesn't line up…”

Alex toward Tom: [Positive, Chill, Curiosity] “Edd’s roommate. Possibly the only one with a brain among them, and yet he still manages to impress me with the occasional bout of absurdity. He drinks rather often, yet of the three I believe he’s the one I find most fellowship with. He’s rather easy to talk to, and somehow manages to be both the most normal and the most insane of my neighbors.

Tord has expressed dislike of Tom, but I can't find myself feeling the same.”

Alex toward Paul: [Friendship, Attraction, Anger] “A brave man, but a foolish one. He’s the one who threw the grenade that made me this. Beneath that rough exterior is a man who feels just the same as the rest of us, and one I find myself quite fond of. I want to make clear to him that I don't blame him, but I couldn't lie and say I’m not irritated.”

Alex toward Patryck: [Friendship, Warmth] “The pilot. You know, for all the crashes, he’s really not that bad. If he was, I’m sure he’d have been demoted long ago, same as Paul. He’s quiet, but pleasant to be around, and quite well spoken”

Alex toward Tord: [Fear, Respect, Indebted] “Our Leader. I am his Lieutenant, and an extension of his will. Tord has done much for us, and much for me. My eye may be a prototype, but it has done wonders for maintaining my ability to function like anyone else, and it's his technology that allows for it.

But there's something… Off. He’s quick to anger, violent, and harsh with his punishments. I’d rather not be directly under his fire. Paul only got off so easy because Tord likes him, were he anyone else I’ve no doubt they’d have suffered far worse than demotion.
