"Hey there, hun!" Frances beamed and settled into a tufted yellow armchair nearby.

"I would love to start out by saying I get on very well with my brothers," she pressed a hand to her heart, her smile warming. "They are the world to me, and they helped Daddy raise me after Mama passed. They were rowdy, but my big brothers looked out for me, always."

"I did struggle to make girlfriends because, well...they made me a bit nervous," Frances giggled and scrunched her nose. "It was easier to stick around with my brothers and their friends. And they never treated me like the 'annoying little tag along.' Though, I did get scolded for not acting like a lady often (mostly by Grammy.)"

"That being said, I was most definitely looking forward to the opportunity to live around other girls my age. It was odd at first, especially realizing I wasn't quite...like the others," she paused, her brow pinched as she thought back to those first days.

"I hadn't realized just how much of my brothers' behaviors had rubbed off on me, I suppose. I never felt judged," she assured with a soft laugh. "But I certainly felt out of place in the beginning. I hadn't spent much time with my step-mother before being thrown into a girls' dormitory."

Frances dipped her head away from a passing Hufflepuff girl, her ears burning. "The nervousness never really went away, apparently. Why do girls have to be so gosh darn pretty?"
