mary & momo | fragile flower in a crowd
â{ăăŞăź} âU-UuuâŚâ There she stood, panting as her free hand clutched her chest. Everything seemed to be going too fast for her liking. The streets were busy - the sound of car engines running, traffic lights blinking, and men and women scurrying off to work. Going off on her own was definitely not a good idea. She couldnât help it though - she broke her favorite cup, and needed a new one!
Mary looked around nervously. People! Everywhere! She was frightened and lost. Her people skills were terrible, so asking for directions was a definite no-no! âM-Mall⌠W-Where⌠whereâŚâ she muttered under her breath, digging her head deeper into her hoodie. She took a step back andâŚ
THUD!!
Her eyes widened. She turned quickly, âEEEKâ!! I-Iâm sorry! Iâm sorry! Iâm sorry! Iâm sorry!â she shook her head rapidly, then turned to face the ground, feeling tears ready to trickle down⌠she refused to meet the personâs eye.
Stupid crowd...stupid popularity...Angry and slightly scared thoughts seemed to grow by the second in Momo's head as she pushed past the people in front of her to escape from the large crowd. Oh why did it always have to turn out like this!
So frantic to get away, Momo nearly didn't see the smaller figure in front of her, only spotting the blur of white and trying to slow down but ending up crashing into her anyway. Oh no! Forgetting all the panic and rush behind her, Momo stopped and worried peered at Mary from under her hood, sunset colored eyes filled with worry. "Are you alright?" Momo asked as softly as she could. She had to hold back a slightly amused smile as she watched Mary repeated apologize. She was about to assure the girl it was alright until she heard loud talking behind them. Was it the crowd again? If she didn't move now,the both of them would be ambushed by people! "No time to talk, run!" Momo said as she grabbed Mary's small hand and pulled her off into the other direction.
