young me especially would have hated hearing this but networking is literally the most important thing you can do to improve your situation like forget economic barriers to education etc just keep making friends with different people and eventually someone will offer you a hand up just because they dig your vibe and that is exactly all that's happening when undeserving people surpass you anyway

seeing people who work in healthcare genuinely insist that there "is no such thing as a female body" or "female organs" or "female anatomy" is fucking insane. like this shit is fucking insane. watching people who i'm supposed to entrust with keeping me healthy argue that i'm not "fully female" because i don't have fallopian tubes, that my mother and grandmother are not "fully female" because they don't have uteruses, that post-menopausal women and prepubescent girls are not "fully female" because they don't menstruate - that there is "no such thing" as a female person, is fucking insane.
