I'm coming to the realization that I am always thinking. There are constantly multiple trains of thoughts going through my head, including when I'm sleeping, watching movies, or just doing things that should have my complete focus. The other night I was up until 1am (I usually go to sleep around 9pm) because my mind would not stop constantly reciting scenes from the movie Mulan word for word, over and over. It's not necessarily bad thoughts--like last night was the whole 12 digit numerical system I thought up as I ate dinner. It's just like that all the time.

I was wondering what it would be like if humans were born with six fingers instead of five and how that would impact our numerical system. At first I assumed we’d likely use 12s instead of 10s as the standard, but it’s much easier and more convenient to remember the 10s table.
