Usually I post works in progress/ studio shots in B & W to differentiate the moment in process from the object. Today seemed to warrant a different approach. Much like this year has demanded a rethink of our general life processes. WHAT NOW? Is a question I hear a lot of people ask in the most exasperated tones. I get it but, I am personally getting over asking myself that question. Instead I have been taking some time to look back over my personal history to reevaluate what skills have gotten me here. Emotional, technical, physical skills are all being considered. This time is definitely wearing parts of me down, ego especially. However, it is also a time that is forcing growth, that I was comfortably blind in not realizing, I needed. Erasing WHAT NOW? is happening personally & in the studio. This painting and I are transitioning together. Are you growing? How? What is working better for you now than it did this time last year? . . . .
