I’ve never really been a watercolor artist. I always saw everyone else’s art and felt like I never stood up to their talents. This journey over the past few years with live paint in acrylics. Has opened me up a lot. God has shown me my own style and how it is ok. I truly love how talented people are. But I’ve stopped looking at skill level but where they are on their journey. Return to Eden. While the cross was to bring death. It would see that it had not won on Resurrection Sunday. The tomb was opened and it was empty. Through Him we are now able to be resurrected. We are born new. Able to step back in the garden. To bring Heaven to us where we could not. It is Finished. The cross was one of the worst ways to be put to death. But He came into the world, leaving the side of His Father to join in His creation. Not as a God that would punish for the sins we are born to commit. But to become the sacrifice that we could never do ourselves. But what was made for punishment was turned into redemption. What was death would end up giving us a chance at life. Pools. We all need healing. We all are in need of more. But don’t truly know what we are in need of. It comes down to want vs need. The best thing is our Father in Heaven pours into this barren world. Filling the pools of us all. From them He fills others and also feeds the world to help grow that that was dead. So 3 years ago I started this part of the journey. It was an amazing experience where I got to meet tons of wonderful artists from across all types of life and skills. It also opened my eyes to the facts that we were made to worship over all things. The question then ends up The Who we worship. I pray that I was able to show His love and grace to these people and that when I’m finally finished the race I’ll see the outcome of the potential I witnessed. It is truly a blessing to be able to create artwork that speaks to so many in their language. Also it’s a blessing to help those who have for so long not known how God created us to worship. And how artwork is a form of worship. We’ve also been able to add to our tools and materials to reach artists that don’t understand that God doesn’t want cookie cutter. He’s the God of all forms. This also means that we are able to add to existing pieces. Creating details that we were not able to do before. We’ve been able to purchase canvases and paints to allow for people to come as they are and join in if the Spirit moves. Finally we are looking to the future. Adding techniques and technology to reach even more people. Looking to classes to lead others to experience God through the visual arts. All sales and donations goes towards helping us grow in these areas and us walking along side Christian artists in the journey of knowing God in all things. Tears from Heaven. In the world rain can be seen as a bad thing. But it’s really a blessing. The crop can’t grow without rain. The sky needs it to help clean out all the dust etc that is blowing in the winds. It replenishes our wellsprings. Knowing God is knowing all is done for His glory. So when I get home from church I always put the newest painting in the same spot where I can see it every day for the next week. I see it all different lights throughout the days. I’m also blessed to see things on the art that I didn’t see before. With this one my eye keeps going back to this area. The changing of sky. Be Still. I don’t really talk about personal things. But this paint I quote unquote finished two years ago was the same week I lost a good friend, mentor, and brother in Christ. It was the last pic we talked about through text. And really felt finalized due to all those reasons. But over these few years I’ve stared at this painting every day. Remembering the words “Be Still”. And in the stillness I saw more tonight. The Light of the world shining down in those troubling places.
