i am so feral about zim and dib having a found-family type of dynamic. like they finally realize how similar they are and how they have some of the same problems, and zim gradually starts feeling protective. and eventually it even gets to a point where some little things zim does start to remind dib of his mom, whom he only remembers in a distant way.

when i first heard that line when zim is being mobbed by alien enthusiasts and he threatens "i'll lay eggs in your stomach! i mean it" i misheard it as "i need it" like he was implying he was fully in alien labor and was in desperation ready to do a ridley scott on whomever he could grab first lmfao

when dib shouted "you won't get away with it" across the street at zim in the mortos episode and zim shouted back "that's very nice of you" wtf did zim hear dib say lmao

concept: zim gaining a protective/parental instinct over dib when dib's an adult (still not even a baby to zim; maybe not even a zygote lol) and dib very quickly learns he can use it to (affectionately) manipulate him and does stuff like saying "okay! i'm gonna go in there. by myself. at night. in the snow." to make zim join him in investigating something lmao

concept: zim and skoodge thinking no one will ever know that they've explored each other's bodies (like multiple times) but the vibes are actually so strong that even seasoned irken soldiers like tak can't not comment on it
