The way we grow and change is sometimes deeply hidden beneath the surface. Every feeling is an onion to be unpeeled, with another feeling underneath it. Our inner life is often more complicated than the outer life- but the outer life can make it even more complicated. We can question what identities meet our need to feel special, and which ones cause toxic stress.

Consent is something that must be given, it can't be assumed- but how do we communicate consent? Today, a little structure goes a long way in speaking up about our desires, and we can afford to practice advocating for our wants in a holistic, reflective way. It doesn't have to be about sex, either. Today offers up a delicious metaphor of meeting our needs for food, the way we might for sex. How do we consent to what we eat? Do we have triggers and allergies we advocate for? And again, the deep delving into our subconscious is also on the table, asking why we do or don't simply ask for what we really want and need around food (and sex!).

#Cancer: Sometimes our boundaries are just right, others, not so much. To find consistency, we must dig a little deeper in the mind.

#Leo: Staying helpful in relationships that nourish us keeps us from overthinking them.

Astrojournal January 23, 2018: Today, the way that we explore what we want to devote ourselves to is also helping us explore the way that we want to serve the world. It isn't enough just to want a psychological Revolution Within. That serves the global Revolution, but we need to understand how it all fits together. Practically. We have to imagine ourselves as part of the movement, deeply ingrained pieces of the puzzle.

♈ #Aries: It's easy for you to attach yourself wholeheartedly to a cause you feel identified with, but that's difficult when it requires you to follow, or go along with the crowd.

♉ #Taurus: Your whole essence cries out for comfort, so this pull to make drastic changes feels odd. Know that you're growing still, and that you'll never have to stop growing. Let yourself grieve for the loss of comfort, but move on.

As your soul's calling to think globally begins, and you continue to revolutionize the way you expand into your emotions, today starts that process with sex. Look around you. Everyone is going through some kind of major shift right now. Can you feel it? You're not alone. What you want, as far as finding a way to help the world be a better place, is Universal. Figure out what you want to say about it today. Sit with your thoughts, form them into words, structure the words in such a way that you can speak your truth from the heart. From the place where it hurts. From the tender, protected scars and wounds that have scabbed over. Speak and act from there, with genuine appreciation for how deep the wounds go, and how far beyond yourself their implications reach. The ones who harmed you were not acting alone, and neither were you when you healed yourself. Who helped you? Who hurt you? Name their names, out loud, to yourself or others if you like.

Today brings a deep, hard-earned desire to help heal the world. It comes from the desire to heal ourselves, and the realization that we are not only able to heal our own wounds, but we are masterful at it. Mysteriously, miraculously, magically, we are excellent healers when we direct our powers inwardly towards the core of the issues we face. This is, in fact changing the world. We change ourselves, and we change the world. The problem is, our egos don't see it that way. We strategize and fall into old traps, politically. We use tactics of War to attempt to create peace, and wonder why it didn't work. Today, we can see that only exploring options through true devotion to peacemaking can we achieve our desire to serve a world big enough for everyone to feel at home in.

An emotional Revolution is churning all around and within us. And then there comes a very potent question, now what? What is to be done? The answer today, loud and clear, is to heal our own wounds. To take responsibility for recovering and transforming the pain that has been caused us, so that we can move on. We know that our opponents, enemies, abusers, will not heal us, much as we wish they would. Much as we wish an apology could make it better, it doesn't. The healing is our job.
