shane can’t stand in one place for more than five minutes without ilya coming up and snuggling with him. it’s so bad that the centaurs started betting on how long shane could stand alone before ilya popped up by his side and clung to his husband — the longest he lasted was 15 minutes. the best part is that shane never complains, he always holds ilya back. one of the centaurs, Bood, asked ilya why he does that, and he replied, "he’s right there, and i can be with him now." the whole team felt bad because, yeah, they had to hide for so long. now, they can just be together whenever. but that doesn't mean they'll stop teasing the couple and their captain’s clingy ass

ilya has a rotating album that he has set for his lock screen. different from his shane folder because some of those cannot see the light of day for sake of shane’s embarrassment and ilyas possession

after the first “i love you” at the cottage, ilya starts say it randomly from time to time and shane always says back without hesitation “i love you too” and after about a week like this ilya asks shane “do i bother you saying i love you so much?” and shane holds ilya’s face in his hands and says “why would i be bothered with something that been my dream for so long?” and ilya goes almost whispering “oh shane, i love you so much” and shane smiles wide, crow’s feet showing around his eyes and says back “i love you too”

some birds are very intuitively named. looked up a sparrow going chipchipchip in my yard, it was a chipping sparrow. saw a black bird with red wings, it was a red winged blackbird. gray bird that sounds like a cat? gray catbird. the first time i saw a house finch it was perched on a windowsill.
