You have to realize that people are fallible beings- they make mistakes, they have to be excused for these mistakes and allow to continue on to the quest for a better life and forgiveness. It took 22 years to produce this amazing book, and the proof is in the images. Dana Lixenberg frequented the Imperial Courts housing project in South Central LA to photograph its residents across time. The result is an evocative visual archive of a community mostly forgotten and underserved.
