Gather 'round, one and all! I have finally convinced my sister to watch Star Wars Rebels! In celebration, I am sharing the most interesting of her thoughts and comments from Season one....
Zeb is her favorite character. (I am surprised, since Heraâs been my favorite from the moment she appeared)
She really likes the inquisitor's spinning lightsabers. ... To each her own I guess. :I
Lothalâs hills look like unicorn horns, and now Iâm never going to unsee it.
The loth cats have been permanently dubbed âPadawan Catsâ referring to Ezraâs first reaction to them ("what is this, some sort of padawan cat?")
She is now determined to crochet a whole litter of Padawan Cats, whether she finds a pattern or no. @snips-fics , do you have a pattern for those tooka dolls you make?
A series of other creatures have also been renamed, including the creatures in that abandoned base (fyrnocks, I think?) who are now Demon-Camel-Cats
She absoluetly LOVED the Lando and Yoda cameos, even though she thinks Landoâs characterization here does not line up with how Original Trilogy Lando would act, which is a good point
Asmorigan annoys her greatly, and she hopes he never shows up again. ... We'll have to see how that goes.
It is an undisputed fact that Ezra and Eugenides would be the best of friends. She repeated this so many times during the course of the season that Iâm afraid Gen is actually going to skew her understanding of Ezra as his own character (But Iâm so happy that someone sees the similarities between these two that Iâve just agreed enthusiastically with her every time)
Anyone know that Sunday School song about spying on Kanan Canaan? No? Well, now the song has new lyrics, just now slightly more Rebels themed.
As for Kanan himself, she loves his sarcasm but thinks his eyebrows are weird, which, fair. Season one's style can be a little weird at times. UNFORTUNATELY, Disney+ HAD to have the Season Four poster as the background picture, so NOW she knows that Kana will go blind sooner or later. Thanks a lot, Disney, for spoiling something she had no clue was going to happen đĄ
And, Ummm⌠talking about spoilersâŚ
... Turns out she hadnât watched Episode III yet.
We got to the last episode of the season, and then suddenly the Grand Inquisitor mentions order 66, and my sisterâs like, âWhatâs that.â đŹđ My brothers have neglected to indoctrinate their sister in my absence, so I guess I accidentally spoiled the fall of the entire Jedi order for her. Oops.
And that, friends, is the end of the Season 1! Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to watch! (probably with a short hiatus in which I make her watch the two movies she somehow missed)
