Born in the Carolinas

Kay so to get to the point, I live in North Carolina, USA. And if you live anywhere near the coast, you’ve probably heard about Florence. It’s a storm that’s going to hit us as a category 3 or low 4 hurricane and its predicted to POSSIBLY hit the Carolinas directly unless it curves. Probably around Thursday I think?? For sure Friday. We still got some time til then but,

With that said, anyone living along the east coast please be safe! Prepare now just in case! Dont wait last minute bc everyone is going to be buying supplies.

Keep an eye on the news and hurricane trackers. With hurricane matthew like 2 yrs ago? My area, we lost power for about 5 days and got heavy flooded areas. That was a category 1 and we just got the leftovers of the storm. Imagine a category 3 or 4 and a direct hit.

Stay safe! Make sure you have plenty of bottled water for you and your pets incase of the water supply being tainted! Have flashlights, candles, non perishable foods, charge your power banks, buy extra batteries, just be prepared!

Matthew hit us pretty badly too. Took out 2 of our dams

The other day my boyfriend was asked if he’d like to have a dog (we already have two) that had been found in a ditch. Without thinking he had said yes. The only other info he was given was that he is a ‘Jack Russel Mix’ and that he may tear up things if left alone, and would sleep with you in bed. Being that Jack Russel is one of his favorites, he didn’t think of meeting the dog first. Before we knew it, he was dropped off at his house and I was unexpectedly greeted by the excited pup while trying to catch some Z’s. I spent about two days with him since he had arrived, and let me say that he is just sweet and playful that needs attention and room to roam. At first glance I speculated that he was NOT a Jack Russel mix but more likely a german shepard mix due to his facial marking and coat, but after doing some researching he matches a Black Sable Belgian Malinios. A sheephearding breed, and like the german shepard, he is more suited for military and police work.

As much as we want to keep this little guy, my boyfriend and I are currently struggling with our own agendas and finances (school and work, etc.) Whiles he does not have the fence in area, mine isn’t well kept. We are still not sure if he is entirely a stray since he seems to enjoy sitting in a car, nor was he scared to come up to us on the first day, and not to mention his breed seems to be nearly pure-. We live in a small town so the likely hood of him having a dog chip/tracker is slim.
