You're not the first to ask this question. It's not a very easy one to answer. But I think it's been long enough.

When it was confirmed that the Superheroes never made it back home, nor was their ship within tracking range, there were two main possibilities: They either got caught in the nets and were vaporized where they stood, or they were just far enough from the blast to be launched very, very far away. Even with the latter option, their chances of survival was minimal, especially with the discovery of Georges' arms. We know now that they're safe and alive, but we didn't at the time.

To put it bluntly, without the testimony of the Superheroes, foul play could not be completely ruled out. This became a potential manslaughter investigation for three very important public figures, and I was at the center of it.

Because of that, I was forbidden from directly joining the search. My Interference would have been considered manipulation of evidence. The best I could do was provide information, such as coordinates, their position in the event, an estimate of the direction they could have went, and an estimate on how far they could have gone based on the impact of the blast.
