I hope you all understand, I apologize for my recent absence.. it has been hard trying to find somewhere to stay long term. I don't at this time know if my church will be rebuilt, but things need to change so something like this doesn't happen again.

"You must be Glowstick, yes? I'm sorry to intrude on your evening, but I just had to meet you."

The figure- no ghoul bowed slightly before smiling softly at Glowstick.

Glowstick wasn’t one to spend his hours staring into the water—into himself, but that’s what he found himself doing. He must have been at it too long because his critique of himself was becoming far too convoluted. He blinked in an attempt to readjust his eyes. Still the same. Blinked again. And suddenly there was an entirely different face looking back. The hybrid jumped and scrambled away from the water’s edge.

He blinked again, hoping that was the end of it. As it turned out, something began rising out of the water. Glowstick’s eyes darted around in search of an escape route. He did not want to deal with some ghoul’s dumb bullshit this evening.

His eyes trained back on the figure that has now appeared. It was… oddly ethereal—the best way he could describe it. Not in anything holy (far from it), but simply that… otherworldly way.

Glowstick was surprised to hear the ghoul say his name. He wasn’t that much of a popular person here.

“I— uh… yes! Yeah, that’s me. How do you know me? I’m not exactly a household name around here,” he finished with a strained chuckle.

The ghoul rubbed his neck, face flushed. Now that most of the mist had cleared away Glowstick could see the similarities between this ghoul and Spitfire. Their mannerisms were similar, it almost felt uncanny seeing it. The ghoul kneeled down, around eye level to Glowstick. The two looked at eachother, neither moving to speak.
