There is no such thing as loving cake too much! Maybe eating it too much, but not loving it too much. We should bake together sometime! I promise it doesn’t matter how good you are. I just like having company when I do it. Blueberry is in my top favorite category when it comes to muffins, but I can’t really pick a favorite. A favorite seasonal one maybe. Those would be strawberry, lemon poppyseed, pumpkin, and apple cinnamon for spring, summer, fall, and winter. I’m glad to hear that term papers weren’t only my own suffering, but I’m sure yours were better than mine! I’m glad you are settling in well too. I haven’t heard about a party, but I’m not against one. As long as no one lets me have tequila, I’ll be okay. It would be nice to have fun and get to know everyone better!

Okay, you’ve got me with the semantics there! Yes, that would be incredible! Thanks for agreeing not to judge me; I can’t wait, I’m sure I’m going to learn so many new things. Just don’t mind me if I break out a notebook! Tell me why our tastes nearly perfectly line up. We’re going to get along in the kitchen just fine. I do need to admit that I haven’t ever had an apple cinnamon muffin, I’ve had a cake, but  not a muffin. You haven’t? I think Finn was talking about one. But, if it doesn’t come through we could throw one of our own. I’m not very versed on having big bashes or anything, but I’m sure there are enough of us here to get something going. You say that, and now I’m just curious as to what happens if we do give you Tequila. It would be! Building friendships was one thing I was most looking forward to, coming here. 

Oh, no, not really. I’m not too into first person shooters or anything. I like relaxing games for the most part, though I definitely check out newer games, indie stuff. Horror games sometimes, though I scare pretty easily. Anyway, I spend a lot of time on Planet Coaster lately, so the reason I like it better than the original Tycoon games is the customization, you can customize almost anything! I’d be down for a reading group, especially with the extra time we’ll have and it’ll be a cool bonding experience. And please find me a copy of one of your books, I will find the time to read it. If not here, than definitely when I get back home. I did know some people, yeah. Finn and I have collabed before, I know Ella a bit too. Still though, pretty unique experience with people I’d probably never have met. What about you?

Yes! I’ve tried a couple of the first person games, but I’m so bad, I can’t ever aim right and I just end up frustrating myself. Which of course is silly, but it just gets to me! That little joystick thing is just so sensitive for no reason! Now I’m getting off on a tangent. Horror games? Should I even ask what a horror game is like? Oh, I’m the same. Horror has never been anything but terrifying to me. That sounds pretty cool actually. I would really like to see sometime. When we get out of here I’ll definitely be looking you up. Yes! I’m so glad you’re interested! I’ll let Ella know, we’ll all coordinate something! You’re so right, just another opportunity for us to make these connections! That’s amazing, thank you! It’s still such a strange experience, which I know is a subject we’ve touched on but I just can’t help it. It’s thrilling, but nerve racking. I hope you like it! That’s one of the things I was most looking forward to coming in, the experience of getting to meet a ton of great people! I didn’t know anyone, no, but I’m enjoying getting to know everyone. The house is so much more zen than I imagined it would be. 

It’s great to meet you too! I do much more than cake! I’ve tried probably every baking technique I can find, and most of what I do in the end is cake. I would say I bake 80% of the time and cook non-baked things the rest of the time. My favorite is muffins though, so if you’re ever in the mood, chances are, so am I. I love the 20s era! Everything was so glamorous back then. I couldn’t even gather enough words to get through term papers, so your being able to do multiple books is like magic to me. Very cool. I’m settling in great! Everyone is nice so far. How about you?

I love cake, definitely more than I should, so you had my attention from the beginning. I’m just curious! That sounds like a healthy blend to me! I love to bake too, I can guarantee that I’m nowhere near your level, but I do think it’s pretty relaxing. Muffins are literally amazing, and they get overlooked far too much in the world of baked goods. That is, any time the urge for muffins strikes, I’m your go-to. I love blueberry and banana nut, what are your favorites? Yes! Oh my gosh, same! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the modern amenities we have now, but sometimes I think even those get in the way. They just seemed like such a simpler time. And, I appreciate that. Life is so fast these days, even when it shouldn’t be. Well thank you, that’s quite the compliment. If it means anything to you though Blaine, term papers were never my best work either. Wonderful! I’m doing great, thanks for asking! I’m looking forward to diving into everything. And, I heard someone was talking about a party. Parties aren’t usually my thing, but I think getting more interaction going could be great for all of us.

Hello Blaine! It’s so nice to meet you! Oh wow, thank you so much! That’s so kind of you to say! A cake blogger? Okay, now I’m intrigued. Do you do exclusively cake? And, I would assume you bake as well, right? Oh, thank you! I’ve written a few, they’re considered historical fiction, but they’re set in thr 1920′s, 1950′s, and 1970′s. They’ve got a few different elements- coming of age, supernatural, the works. I know they aren’t for everyone, but if you’d ever like a copy I’m sure I can find one! So, how are you settling into the house so far?

Oh, yeah? Planet Coaster is…well, if you’ve ever heard of Rollercoaster Tycoon? Sort of like that only, like, way better. Stardew is a farming simulator, but I promise it’s not as lame as it sounds! I wouldn’t mind checking out your books, honestly. Historical fiction isn’t my favorite, but how can I even have an opinion on the genre if I’ve hardly read anything from it? And the supernatural elements, wow, that’s so unique and is pretty intriguing. We’ll be pretty busy here, I’m sure, but this is kind of a break for all of us, really, so maybe I’ll have some time for some reading. How do you think this experience will go? Once we start getting into the competition, I have a feeling tensions will start to rise and we won’t all be getting along as we are now. Look at me, I sound so damn pessimistic! 

I think I remember hearing something about that, back in the day. I vaguely remember a Zoo Tycoon too, right? What makes it better? Probably just the bells and whistles they’ve added for more updated versions, but I thought it was worth asking. That actually doesn’t sound boring at all, in fact I think it sounds pretty relaxing. I thought for a second you might be one of the people who does the play throughs of the more violent and mature games. Not that there’s a problem with that, it’s just refreshing to meet someone who enjoys the simpler things too. Really? That would be neat! It is, you’re right! No kidding? I guess none of us should really be surprised, but still. It’s a hell of a thing. I would like, yes! Maybe we could start a reading circle while we’re here. You’re right about that, Ella. Oh gosh, that sounds like a great idea actually! Let’s try to pull something together! They may not have multiple copies of books, but we could find ways to work it out, take things chapter by chapter. We’ll get there! It really was, I don’t think I’ve eaten so well in such a long time! I guess so! That’s alright, honestly it’s more what I’m used to. But something special is nice to have every now and again. Stressed is kind of like my factory setting, in a way, which definitely isn’t glamorous at all. But, I take ownership. Good, that’s important! It really is, I keep thinking I’m done exploring, but I enjoy revisiting places too. I always find new things. Brooklyn is gorgeous, but it’s different, you’re right there too. Have you lived there your whole life? I have a little bit, but I’m trying not to. I have a feeling things are going to be pretty unpredictable. Is there anything you’re hoping we won’t have to do?

Hi, Frannie! I know, introducing myself out “in the wild” so to speak as RenegadeDave the YouTuber always a little odd. I play a lot of new games, a little screwing around to see what I can get away with paired with a little serious actual gameplay. However, I’m a huge Planet Coaster guy, also enjoy a little Stardew Valley on my chill days on stream. I’d recommend either of those for beginners, they’re easy to get into and a lot of fun. I’ll admit, I do like reading though hardly get any time for it. What sort of books have you written, maybe I’ll have to check them out!

‘In the wild’, that’s hilarious. I liked that. But, I do know exactly what you mean. It’s such a strange thing to have to get used to, and not something I ever anticipated. I doubt any of us really did. It sounds like you’ve got a pretty good system going there, that’s so interesting. You probably won’t find this surprising at all, but I have no idea what either of those are. But they wound pretty neat, you’ll have to show me sometime. If we have them here. There seems to be a whole lot of that going around, even in myself. It’s the curse of being an adult right? I’ve written a few fiction novels. I guess they’re considered historical fiction, but they’re based in the 1920′s, 1970′s, and 1950′s. So, not too terribly historical. They’re a little bit supernatural, a little bit coming of age, and a little bit mystery, actually. Sound like anything you might be into?

I don’t think I would ever really change my name, I do like it. It’s unique for this generation, which I appreciate. But, if I were to do anything, I would probably go by my middle name, which is Michelle.

I thought it might be, but you know me. Always honest, if nothing else. It does, and it’s even more incredible to have you here, Q. I don’t think we’ve spent this much time together since we were teenagers. Hey, when in doubt, stick to what you know. I’m glad you gave me the baseline though. At least now I won’t show up in a ball gown. It’s nice. It’s weird to be in such a fancy-schmancy place, but I’ll get used to it. What about you. Which room are you in?
