“Hey, Nemue, I found him!” the Lycanroc exclaimed, taking a few steps forwards. The great horse turned her head, and the fire-dancer opened one eye to look before closing it again rapidly.

“It’s about time,” she snorted, adjusting her footing. “I can’t hold this forever. Ferdi, you’re going to have to fly up to the loft and fetch some rope to tie the door with. Akoi can do the knotting, but can’t climb up solid wood.”

The Decidueye nodded and took off again, folding his wings to his sides and shooting elegantly through the small window in the barn roof. Landing with a practiced flourish he took a while to sort through plenty of junk, papers and hay until he managed to produce a long, strong length of rope.

“Is this good enough?” the starter inquired, uncoiling it out of the window and down to the Salarowak. Without receiving a formal response it was grabbed and pulled down completely; he leapt from the window again, but as soon as he hit the ground --

There was a brief whistling of wind, and a flash of odd light which startled him and blew him backwards just a little; when it cleared, however, his arms dropped to his sides and Jesse pinned his ears backwards in shock and dismay. Where there had just been an eight-foot immovable ground-type wall, all that was left was -

“...Crap.”

“What the hell is going on?!” yelped the dangling hybrid, having shrunk significantly at the same time and was clinging onto the comparatively-massive door handle with all four limbs and even his tail.

Nobody had time to reply before there was another mighty screech and with a huge thud the creature inside slammed open the door, sending the now-Mudbray and Cubandit flying sideways in the general direction of the ocean - Jesse and Ferdi weren't really paying much attention to where they landed, although the splashing may have been some indication.

No, they were too focused on the hyperventilating seven-foot Silvally that had just skittered right outside, and the fact that they themselves were, well, small.

Ferdi tried to flap up and push it back inside as it turned to run, but was tossed aside like nothing with the edge of its crest as it disappeared into the forest.

“We’re in trouble,” the now-Rockruff sighed once it had gone, turning his attention to the dripping-wet pair that had just managed to drag themselves out of the water. “The one responsibility we’ve had in a while and we blew it.”

“Well, it’s not our fault exactly. Let’s just go find Jaraka and Alu, then see if the other team are able to do anything.”

“We’re gonna be laughing stocks! We can’t go turn up at their doors looking like this -”

“They’re either in the same situation or our only chance at saving its butt and ours. We just - let’s get it back to safety before Makani returns. Okay?”

This blog’s aim for this event: Stop a Silvally with anxiety issues from killing itself in the wilderness while being reverted to the 1-10 level range, all before the trainer gets back (?)
