“JANUS!” Virgil scrambled down the hall of the mindscape, almost crashing into the other side.

“Virgil, I’ve been looking for you! Are you okay?” Janus asked him, concern and other things written clear on his face.

“It’s Roman, okay! He was in Orange’s room, and the motherfucker GAVE HIM SOMETHING?! I don’t know what! It was red and they were talking about Logan! and then orange saw me! HE SAW ME! IS HE GONNA KILL ME?!”

“Virgil, breathe. You are panicking”

That seemed to calm him down “We need to save Roman”

“I can’t do that right now”

Virgil’s eyes grew to the size of dinner plates “What?! What do you mean?! You’re self-preservation, right? You must want Thomas to be okay, and not have his fucking creativity brainwashed?”

“Virgil I-”

“You’re not telling me something” He took another deep breath, feeling some of the anxiety and fear melt away, “Janus, what’s wrong?”

“Logan can’t leave his room. Orange is actively trying to hurt him, so I had to compromise” His eyes flitted downwards, the weight of his words finally hitting Virgil.

“You didn’t-”

“I had to!”

“Are you INSANE?! You can’t take on Logan’s role! The strain that must be putting on you. Are you okay?”

Janus didn’t look okay, at all. His eyes were red and bloodshot, the bags under his eyes could rival even Virgil’s, and he seemed to have this ball stuck in his chest. His breathing was sporadic and shallow.

“You can’t confront Orange like this”

Janus scowled “What else can we do, hm? Let Orange brainwash everyone else? Logan? Remus? I have to stop him. I have to-”

He didn’t even get to finish his sentence as he passed out.

logan cannot leave his room, if roman has been compromised that complicates things.... but logan being compromised would only worsen things
