[He's heading back to the office with the lunch he just bought when he hears frantic barking. He sets his bag on the bank of the river as he first attempts to reach the dog. When he realizes his arms aren't long enough, he drops his hat and dives into the river, pulling the dog out of the water, where he sets it beside him.] Hey, now, be careful.

Oh! A talking dog! How wonderful is that? [He smiles and puts his hat back on and puts his bag on his lap, ignoring that he's still dripping wet.] You already know my name, so the next question is: what's your name?

I'll do my best. [He towels her off as carefully as he can mindful of her request.] That's about all I can do. You're welcome to stay here until you dry off. but I have to put dry clothes on so I can eat and head back to work.

Ranpo-san is very cool. I’d want to come hang out with him too. My family lives on a farm out in country. I only moved here recently so I could be a part of this Detective Agency. The city is still very confusing, but it’s so fun. I still don’t know why nobody here has cows, though. I think everyone would be much happier if you had them here. Do you like cows, Poe-san?
