“Oh...? These are cute! I won’t have to buy soap for a while now, the less I have to buy at the store the better.” 

“Yeah...? I’m pretty sure that’s my name.”

“I have my grandparents, aunt, and uncle!” Smiling while saying it. “As for my blood family, I don’t know much about them at all.” The smile fades when talking about his birth family but it doesn’t fade into a sad look, he just grows to look uninterested.  

“My name is Kira and I don’t need to be adopted twice thank you very much.”

They’re both very pleased eating their treats.

“Adoption is something that exists.” The boy pipes up. Kakyoin, still eating, just points at him and nods in agreement. 

He does a bit of a double-take, thinking it was going to be more of the candy. “Wait I know what this stuff is. I’ve been told that it makes you feel funny or something? Never worked with me.”

“That’s just an obstacle, why wouldn’t I just drink the whole thing?” 

“I mean yeah? I just eat everything, everything tastes good, just don’t like soap though that’s about it.”

“It tastes good but... it feels... off, don’t really like it.”

Without hesitation, he picks it up and puts it in his mouth. He doesn’t seem affected but the heat.

“Yeah, that thingy.”

Somewhere you hear a violent wing flap and a loud caw.

“... Soap...”
