I hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmases! I've been trying out the Nokia Lumia 925 Windows Phone's camera on a walk today. All of the photos I've taken have automatically synced to my Skydrive on my other Windows. 8 devices, easy!

Do you know how much easier academic referencing can be using Microsoft Word? Here is a quick guide to how to reference on Word.

When you have quoted someone, firstly, click the ‘references’ tab, and then click ‘insert citation’ (top picture)

Then, choose the type of document you are citing (book, website, etc), and fill out the author and other categories for the reference. Word will remember this citation, and each time you cite that author you can select them from the ‘insert citation’ button without having to type it out each time. (left picture)

Finally, and most usefully, click ‘bibliography’ to get Word to automatically create a bibliography withal of your sources! This saves you loads of time. Another great feature is that you can click on ‘manage sources’ to add sources from other documents into your bibliography, saving you entering the same document across several assignments or essays. (right picture)
